Rossalynn took in a deep breath, Jules had texted that he and Mark would have to be absent, something about threats to his manly parts from her dad. She snickered, thinking how horrified he must have been to have that threatened. “What’s so funny?” River appeared by her side, Rossalynn had grown used to the girls quiet manner years ago. River waited patiently for an answer “Apparently my father threatened to neuter our boys if he caught even a whiff of them tonight.” Rossalynn informed her grinning. River smirked, the only sign that she found humor in the situation. “Ladies, are you going to sit here on the fringes all night?” Zale asked sliding up next to them. “Well, we would love to avoid the nauseating smell of your hormones going wild every time something with tits walks by.” Rossalynn and Zale gave River a shocked look at her snide remark, it was very unlike her. Then to their utter astonishment she whirled around and slapped Zale. “Don’t think i don’t know what you’re up to Zalarian Gregory Merrick. I see right through you!” she growled. Zale’s eyes widened and his heart sped up, the feisty girl infront of him was completely alien, but it only made him love her a little more. He smirked “River, honey, i’d watch where you aim that temper if i were you, it could end up getting you in very comfortable positions. Tell me, does Mark really do it for you or are you just screwing around? Because baby, underneath everything that makes you hot is a whole nother world that i’m betting only i could unlock.” the words sounded lame and pervy even to Zale, but he didn’t care. He’d been subtle enough over the years, River’s 17th birthday was only a month after Rossalynn’s and time was running out. River’s eyes narrowed in return “Oh trust me Zale, Mark hit’s every spot, in every way imaginable, with everything he can!” she snapped before turning and stopping into the crowd. Zale looked to Rossalynn, who infact new River was still a virgin and was not going to tell. “Don’t look at me, i don’t want any images popping in my head!” Rossalynn said before quickly following after River. She ignored the appreciative looks from some of the male wolves who weren’t mated. This little get-together had been at Lyndan’s insistence, apparently some big shot Alpha was in the territory and she’d wanted to dig her claws into him, maybe gain favor, or more power. Whatever the case was, Rossalynn was content with simply sticking to River for the night. Of course, what she was content with was usually the complete opposite of what Lyndan received.
