“She’s late” Weylin growled to Ian. He’d been sitting in the living room of Rossalynn’s house for half-an-hour now and the smell of Lynden was making his head pound. Her continuous pleas for him to take on Nash as well were also contributing to the pounding. His mate’s friend, River, stood silently in the back of the room checking her phone every few minutes. Suddenly she straightened and slipped from the room, heading for the foyer. Weylin stood as well, sensing his mate’s closeness. “Thank-you for your compensation Alpha Marcaius, Alpha Lynden.” Ian muttered nodding to the two Alpha’s as he followed his own Alpha out of the room. The door flew open with a bang and both men paused as a dog came sliding through with a young girl running after it. “Kiro! Kiro bad! River! River get Kiro! He’s a bad dog! A very, very bad doggy!” the girl said placing her hands on her hips and stomping her foot. Weylin surprisingly found it amusing, especially when the dog clambered over to his side and sat down. He squatted down and held out his hand for the dog, which he could easily identify as a wolf-breed. “Ivy! Darling! We were getting worried! I was just about to send Nash out looking for you!” Lynden’s voice held contempt and hostility that had Weylin standing again. He studied the body language of the people in the room. Nash and Lynden hovered in the doorway, not truly moving toward Ivy, simply watching her every move. River stood slightly in front of her, Zale had his hand on her shoulder. And then his mate entered and the atmosphere changed. Lynden and Nash completely backed off and Zale and River backed away from Ivy. Ivy herself turned and jumped into Rossalynn’s open arms. His mate looked him in the eye and gave a respectful nod "Alpha Weylin, this is Ivy. She'll be coming as well." she announced before giving both Lynden and Nash a pointed glare. Ian stared at Ivy curiously "Who is she too you? If you don't mind me asking?" he asked. "Ross is my mommy!" Ivy exclaimed with a wide grin. Weylin froze, Ian coughed, and River laughed while Ross and Zale smiled.
