Ross smiled at Ivy, she rarely told people personal things, and Ross was willing to bet a large sum of money that Jules had told her to say it. Not that it mattered, Ivy truly was her daughter in every way but one. "I was under the impression that you are under the mating age, Rosslynn." Weylin's posture was extremely stiff, and he stared at Ivy with a look of disbelief and curiosity. "The girl is fibbing, she's not even an actual member of the pack, she belongs to the leader of the rogues!" Lyndan quickly explained, much to Ross's amusement. "She does, seeing as how both Jules and I have taken her in, Ivy is the reason there is peace between the rogues and our own pack, did you seriously think I would leave the fate of my brothers pack in your hands? Come now Lyndan you can't be that naive." Ross said sharply. Before Lyndan could reply, the door swung open. Ross froze at the site of a panting Jules and Mark. "Jules! Are you coming to? Oh yeah!" Ivy exclaimed, jumping from Ross's arms to Jules, who caught her easily. "Forgot something." He murmured setting Ivy on her feet and kneeling in front of her. He pulled out a small box with a tiny silver bow on it. Ivy looked to Ross, excitment in her pale green eyes before reverently taking the box. "Go ahead Ivy, open it." Jules encouraged, a similar excitment in his eyes. Ivy slowly lifted the top of the box, and River stepped forward to take it away, freeing Ivy's hand to reach inside and pull out an intricate necklace. Calling it an actual necklace was putting it in simply terms. It was a choker, similar in fact, to a dog collar, but not quite. It was made of a shiny black metal, one Ross recognized as lup-din metal or wolf's metal. A special type of metal, that conteracts the effect of silver in a wolf's bloodstream, made with lupi magie, wolf magic. From the choker hung a brilliant, emmerald pendent, it caught the light and threw it back into the room in varying shades of green, entrancing Ivy. "It belonged to Salvare." Jules told her. Ivy, Ross, River, and Mark all took in a collective breath. "You can't give her that! It belongs to the rogue princess!" Lyndan exclaimed moving forward. "Salvare has approved of Ivy, she has been gifted the title of princessa for my pack. Just as Rossalynn has been formally approved by him as our Alfa female. The hindrence of a adevarat does not change anything." Jules finally acknowledged Weylin's presence in the room. Ross tried to bite back a laugh, but to no avail. His every move was so obviously deliberate it was impossible to take it as anything other than a direct challenge to Weylin. " Rogue, I do not appreciate your continued interest in my mate. As I'm sure you already know I'm of royal blood, my claim cannot be disputed. " Weylin's tone and posture were deceptively calm and Ross wondered if the others in the room could sense the anger and impatience that she could so easily see lurked beneath the surface. "I do not bow my head to any adevarat, status be damned. " Jules replied. There was silence as the two alphas faced each other, and Ross felt it was her time to intervene. " I was told to be here at this time because we were leaving out early, its getting late."
Both men looked to her and nodded, it was an automatic response that the male should try to please the female to ensure her comfort and safety. Jules pulled Ivy into a hug before letting Mark pull him away. Weylin instructed Ian to help Zale load there things into the car, and call ahead to get a room for Ivy prepared. Ross stayed silent with Ivy at her side, she could tell Weylin was going to be persistent in his attempts to get her to agree to the mating.
