(Nine weeks later)

The first thing my body allowed me access to was my sense of hearing, leading to a defensive male's voice complaining,
"Why not? What harm can it do, come on? I mean, who knows how long they'll be out!

"That's exactly my point!" A high pitched female's voice, just as defensive argued, "They could wake up in an hour, a month, or maybe even never!"

My half conscious self mentally shuddered; never? What the hell happened?

Suddenly I felt a weird itchy sensation in my throat. My hands began tingling, the kind you get when you come from the freezing cold called outside to a warm place. Behind my eyelids, my eyes began darting from side to side and my the tip of my nose began to itch. I guess I was waking up.

"I think now would be a good time," I managed to croak out.

What? I like a dramatic and shocking entrance, is that so hard?

I heard gasps of surprise and shock as soon as I spoke. It was then, that all those different sensations rippled throughout my body, waking up my senses and muscles from a well earned sleep.
I forced my eyes open, squinting at the bright light. Everything seemed..more clear, almost as if I was wearing contacts...

It was probably just the fact that I hadn't opened my eyes in a long time.

From what I could tell, I was in some kind of lab. On one side was an open entrance and computers, and on the other was a table of equipment. Stood by that table were the two people I assumed were bickering earlier.

I forced myself up and swung my legs over the side of the bed while pulling the various tubes and wires away while groaning. My body was as stiff as a fricking tree,

"I feel as if I've been hibernating for decades," I groaned. The guy had shoulder length dark hair and the woman with long brown hair stared at me, both of them their mouths open. I got two fingers, stationed it parallel to my chin and motioned up,

"I'm surprised you haven't caught any flies." They hurriedly shut their mouths. The woman was the first to recover,

"Well hibernating wouldn't be far from the truth."

I looked at them, confused,

"Why? What happened to me? How long was I out for?"

A voice spoke up from my left over to where the entrance was,

"Approximately nine weeks, Miss Davis. And as for what happened, you were struck by lightning." I whipped my head around to see the owner of the voice,

"Harrison Wells," my voice full of recognition and slight awe,

"You're..." I originally opened my mouth to compliment his work. But of course, my stupid mouth wouldn't allow that as my eyes scanned him, figuring out that he was shorter than I thought he would be,

"...in a wheelchair," I mentally face palmed myself. He sighed,

"Is it that obvious?" He asked, the sarcasm evident.

"Sorry, I don't always think before I speak. My mouth races past my thoughts," I explained, still in awe and now a little embarrassment. Suddenly, the woman's doctor mode decided to kick in,

"I need you to urinate in this," With that, she shoved a container in my face. The guy with the long hair shoved her out of the way, because at the same time, she was shining a blinding light in my eye,
