No One's POV.
Anti's brown ears twitched, hearing light footsteps travel down the hallway to his bedroom door. He shifted slowly and watched the door swing open gently. The man wore black socks, baggy sleepwear, and yawned upon entering the room."Mark, where's the grape juice at?" Jack called as he turned back into the hallway. "Second door on the right and in the mini fridge," Mark replied from the other room, sounding preoccupied at the moment.
Jack groaned and turned his back. And, just as Anti was going to attack, a bright red dot flashed across the hardwood floor. Anti's eyes followed it back and forth, then stopped when the light was at Jack's feet.
Bolting from underneath the bed, Anti ran out into the hallway and attempted to capture the moving dot. It scaled up Jack's back and taunted on the Irish man's shoulder. Anti's green eyes narrowed to small slivers of pupils as he clawed his way up Jack's legs and back. From the sudden pain, Jack screamed, hollering while he then saw a brown cat desperately trying to catch a Lazer light that moved on his shoulder.
"Anti! Get off-OW!" Jack felt the small claws puncture his clothing and jab at his skin as Anti ran across to his other shoulder. Hunching over slightly, Jack reached up and grabbed Anti's soft body. But, as the human tried to pull the cat off of his shoulder, the red dot moved down Jack's back.
Anti clawed at Jack's skin, wanting to catch the escaping light. But, Jack luckily got Anti's claws unstuck from both his skin and his clothing, gaining the demon's attention.
"I thought you said you were at DY's for New Years," Jack glanced at Anti questionably but proceeded to find the juice and return to the kitchen.
Setting the glass bottle down on the countertop, Jack allowed Anti to jump out of his arms and onto the counter.
"What happened?" Mark asked, coming up from the basement with bottles of beer to restock the fridge for Jack. Pointing at the cat on the counter, Jack flashed a glare at Anti before returning his gaze towards Mark. "Oh," Mark said, watching Anti rub his head against the bottle, almost tipping it over.
Jack caught it and stood it back up. Anti's tail twitched with mischief as he strutted around on the countertop. Mark now eyed the cat as well, waiting for any sign of bad intentions. But, Anti simply sat and licked his paw, then rubbed it on his head behind his ear.
Finding no reason to watch him anymore, Mark and Jack continued to busy themselves in the kitchen. Mark cooked on the stovetop while Jack had began to make the second batch of sugar cookies since someone had ate all of the first batch this evening.
Anti yawned, then stretched with his tail straight up for a minute. Laying down, the neko closed his eyes to sleep.....click-click...click-click...click-click. Anti opened his eyes for a moment, seeing nothing before closing them again. Click-click. The cat sat up, listening again for the noise. And this time, he heard it in the living room.
Jumping off of the counter, Anti walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. Jack and Mark paid no attention to him.
- An hour or two later -
Jack set a bowl of mashed potatoes on the dining room table, followed by Mark with a smaller bowl of gravy. And both men were going to re-enter the kitchen when they heard growls and hissing in the living room.
Coming around the corner of the wall, Jack was the first to see Anti frantically chasing the Lazer light in a circle. The cat ran around and around numerous times, only stopping when the light disappears and freed the demon from the trance he was being placed in.
Dark sat on the back of the couch, grinning while Anti glared at him. The neko went back to normal quickly and growled.
"Stop fucking with me!" Anti yelled and darted towards Dark with anger.
