Maggie rushed downstairs and found her dad sitting in their lounge, watching the morning newscasts. She hopped towards him and hugged him.

"Dad!" She showed her full smile at the old man.

"Yeah? What can I do for you?" Her dad stared at her and waited for her to spill what was wrong. He gave her a what do you need look.

"Jerry asked me out. He wants to take me out for a drive." Her eyes sparkled like a thousand stars, stuck in those hazelnut brown eyes as she pleaded.

"Just make sure to be home before six." Maggie jumped out of excitement.

Thanks, Dad." She gave him a peck on the cheek, which made the old man smile. Maggie made her way to the garage and found Jerry waiting for her.

"Hey." He waved his hand as he greeted her.

"Hey Jer, sorry for keeping you waiting. Let's go?" She asked.

"Yeah, let's go."

As a gentleman, Jerry opened the door for Maggie. She smiled at him and mouthed "Thanks." While taking the road towards 9th Avenue, Jerry looked at Maggie, who was rubbing both of her hands against each other.

Maggie seemed to notice and looked at Jerry. "What? Is there something on my face?"

Jerry turned his gaze towards the road and smiled. He took a pair of gloves from the backseat of his car and gave them to Maggie.

"Thanks." Maggie wore the gloves which made her palms much warmer than before.

"Winter is fast approaching, maybe you should wear those gloves to avoid being frostbitten." Maggie couldn't help from blushing. She can't deny the fact that she has feelings for her best friend.

Who wouldn't? Those blue, astonishing eyes and that clenched, masculine jaw. Those supple lips that always find their way to smile. His ruffled dark brown hair that always looked like he just got out of bed and those biceps that he's trying so hard to hide. He's a perfect guy. Any girl would die just to spend a day with this guy. But sad to say, there she is, the best friend who seemed to be invisible.

Maggie spaced out and didn't notice she was drooling while staring at her best friend. She was daydreaming.

"You okay?"

"Huh? Uh-huh! I'm fine." She wiped the drool from her lips and smiled at him. "Sorry. What were you saying?" Jerry laughed as if he was amused.

"What?" She asked confusedly.

"You're spacing out again, I asked you if it is okay to invite you to watch the first snowfall at our house. Mom's preparing dinner and she wants you to come."

"Sure! Why not?" Maggie smiled at him. "I would be honored."

"That's more like it." Jerry shuffled her hair and pinched her nose.
