Eleven
Maggie felt so much pain on her head when she woke up. All she could see were pure darkness.
'I can't be dead ' she thought to herself.
She felt as if she was inside a box or she was enclosed inside a small space. She could barely breathe. She found her hands tied to each other at her back. She was lying on a soft ground as if it was carpeted and the box where she was enclosed seemed to move.
She tried to look around for a way out but she found someone lying beside her. She can't figure who it is due to the darkness. She still tried to do her best to know who it was.
"Hmmmm," She heard the person grunted. It's awake. She tried her best to distance herself away from the person.
After a minute, the person moved. It struggled to get out of the box. Maggie wanted to talk to that person but her mouth was covered with duct tape.
The only way she could leave the place is to loosen first the tie on her hands. She tried to struggle using her force to be free but it was of no use. The person in front of her already stopped moving. It seemed that he already gave up.
She wanted to encourage him to struggle more in order for them to escape but she can't. Her mouth was shut and the box already stopped moving. Just then she realized, they were inside a trunk of a car.
The trunk opened and a blinding light welcomed Maggie's gaze. She closed her eyes and turned to look at the guy beside her. It was Jerry.
Jerry was also taken aback to see her. She turned her gaze towards the man who opened the trunk. He pulled her first and carried her out of the trunk. There were also other men in black who helped Jerry out of the trunk. They placed Jerry to sit on a chair beside another chair.
The guy who pulled Maggie was someone they once knew. It has been a while since they saw him. He wasn't wearing his military uniform anymore. He was wearing a formal tuxedo and a tie.
"Bryce." Maggie thought.
Bryce smiled at her. He gently laid her to sit on a chair and peeled off the duct tape from her mouth. Bryce stared at Maggie's face. He smiled at her warmly. Maggie was so happy to see Bryce. Jerry was also stunned to see Bryce alive.
"Bryce, you're alive." Maggie retorted.
"Yes, I am." Bryce exclaimed.
"And you look... Fine," Maggie added. "Are you here save us?"
Bryce's smile faded. His face darkened and stared at Maggie in the eye.
"Forgive me, Maggie."
Bryce took his gun and used it to hit Maggie in the head. It made caused Maggie to black out. Her head bled as she sat unconscious on the chair.
On the other side, Jerry was struggling upon seeing Bryce hit Maggie. His eyes were furious and he was mad at Bryce for hitting her. Bryce went to him with a mocking face. He leveled his face with Jerry's and peeled off the tape off his mouth.
Jerry spat on Bryce's face. Bryce didn't see it coming. He closed his eyes and stood straight as he wiped off the drool off his face. He clenched his fist and smirked at Jerry.
"You bastard," Jerry shouted at Bryce.
"Me? A bastard?" Bryce leveled his face at Jerry's and glared at him. He raised his hand and slapped Jerry on the face. It caused Jerry to turn his head to the other direction.
"A bastardo? Eh?" Bryce stood up and laughed mockingly. He shook his head unbelievingly. Then he laughed once more, an evil laugh.
"I'll show you who's the bastardo here." He used his gun to hit Jerry in the head. It caused Jerry's head to bleed even more.
Jerry heard Bryce laugh until it faded slowly. His ear seems to hear nothing then. He took one last glance at Maggie beside him before he blacked out.

Maggie felt the pain in her head again. It waked her up.
beep.. Beep.. Beep..
Maggie thought she heard a medical apparatus beeping or was she just hallucinating. She looked around and saw that she was inside a medical lab now. She was laying on a bed with some medical machine attached to her.
She tried to move her hands but they were tied on the bed. Both of her hands can't move. She checked her feet and wanted to cry when she found out that both her hands and feet were tied to the bed.
"Damn." She cursed. She looked around to see if somebody was there.
"Is anybody here? Help," She shouted as she tried to pull her hands from being tied.
"Help," She shouted. "Please."
She looked around to find anything that would help her but she halted upon seeing Bryce walk in. He was holding his gun at his hands while staring coldly at Maggie.
"Bryce. You traitor," Maggie gritted her teeth.
Bryce was emotionlessly staring her. Maggie couldn't figure out if he felt pity for her or if he really doesn't give a damn.
"Why are you doing this to me, Bryce?" Maggie retorted.
"What did I do wrong?" Maggie cried. Bryce his step towards Maggie and went near her. He stood beside her bed and touched her face. Maggie tried to turn her face away from Bryce but she can't avoid him.
"Are you... regretting somehow, Maggie?" Bryce asked. Maggie turned to look at Bryce and gave him her deathly glare.
