ordinary people cover by ashton irwin
ashton had been teaching me to play drums for over an hour now. i still couldn't play them. i used to be able to play them. i just suck at everything now. diddums.
"there's no hope," i laughed, pushing ashton away so i could get up.
he looked at me. i smiled.
suddenly, i remembered how long i had been out with ashton. i wanted to stay here forever because i was too scared to go home.
"can i sleep here?" i asked before i could stop myself.
"sure. won't your parents be worried?" he asked.
"it's getting late. there's no way i'm walking home." it wasn't that much of a lie than i thought it was.
"i can walk with you."
dammit.
"no, it's fine. i'll stay here."
"is everything okay?"
i nodded my head. "why wouldn't it be?"
"you're willing to sleep in a strangers bed who doesn't even know your name."
"i trust you. you care about me."
he smiled. "fair enough. i'm going to go walk home and i'll come back in the morning."
i grabbed the hem of his shirt as he begun to walk to the door.
"stay."
