Ch.21

Maddie's POV

Yes. It's finally lunch time. Game plan, I first went to my locker and grabbed my lunch box. Walking down the hallway I saw Haley at her locker too getting her lunch box. Should I walk up to her? I mean I completely ignored her this morning on the bus. I totally felt so bad, but I needed time to think. She must really hate me. I slowly walked up to her.

Hi, I said shyly

"Hey" she said looking down

Can I please talk to you? I asked

"There's nothing to talk about Maddie"

Yes there is, just let me explain?

"Explain what? That you lied to your best friend?"

She's starting to get mad, I can't fight over this. I just need to tell her.

Tyler lied. Listen to me, he's jealous of Hayes in the first place. He lied to you to make me look bad. He wanted you to get mad at Hayes so you would stop liking him and like Tyler instead, I said

She took a deep breathe.

And how can I believe you? She asked me

I'm your best friend. Please just believe me, in the end, everything would make up for it, I promise, I said

Okay I trust you, can we go to lunch I'm hungry, Haley asked complaining

Your always hungry, I said laughing

Let's GOOO! She said while taking my hand running into the cafeteria.

A smile appeared on my face. I have my best friend back. Tyler better not text her and make more "lies" I'm gonna have to talk to him in French.

I said goodbye to my table and Haley. I dropped my lunch box off in my locker. French is last period of the day, so I have 3 more periods to go. The only problem is, how am I suppose to talk to Tyler in French when Haley's in the class? Maybe I can somehow get out of class early to talk to him at his locker. Luckily the day goes pretty fast, and 6th period is over in 5 minutes.

The bell rings and I run to my locker to exchange books that I need for French. Tyler's locker isn't too far away from mine. He just got out of class and I walked up to him.

Hey can we talk real quick? I asked

"What do u want?"

I need you to ignore Haley for me, please? I said

"Wait why?"

Magcon is this weekend, and I needed her to be friends with me. I hate seeing her upset. I kinda made up a lie.

I exclaimed

Tyler looks confused

What kind of lie, he asked

I hesitantly told him...

Well, I made up a lie saying that you lied to Haley to get her mad at Hayes.

"You did what!?"

Uh oh he's pissed....
