Chapter 10
"Hey, about the attack that just happened at the garden." Kourin spoke, "Do you think it's that weird intruder again?"
"Morikawa? I'd say that's impossible, since he's been detained." Aichi said. "The one who attacked us might be another person who wants another war to happen."
"I don't like that thinking of yours, Aichi." Kourin said with a disappointed face.
"It's only a speculation, I don't mean it to be real." Aichi says.
As they went to Takuto's office, they found Takuto sitting and doing his paper works quietly.
"Takuto," Kourin called and Takuto glanced at them, he smiled.
"What seems to be the reason you two came here?" The king asked.
"I would like to report about this," Aichi spoke. He took out an arrow and showed it to Takuto.
Takuto got a bit surprised and looked at the arrow.
"Earlier when we were on the garden, someone suddenly attacked us. The perpetrator was most likely to kill both of us, and I can't be wrong with that. Since the direction of the arrow was directly pointed to us." Aichi explained.
"I see," Takuto then had a serious expression on his face, "I can't just let this one slide. This is a serious case." He sighed, "Alright... I'll get more guards to secure the whole place."
"Thank you, Takuto." Kourin said and they left.
-"So, don't you feel any nervousness at all?" Aichi asked.
"No, not at all. I'm fine," Kourin replied with a stoic face.
Aichi frowned a little, he was kind of expecting that Kourin would be a little scared. But he didn't expect that Kourin acted like that was nothing.
"What? Stop staring at me." Kourin looked back at Aichi.
"I'm sorry, princess. You were just beautiful that I can't stop looking at you." Aichi started to flirt once again, and Kourin got mad again, she was about to punch him but Aichi dodged the attack.
"Whoa, whoa... don't! It was only a compliment and I didn't mean to-"
"Oh really?! But it seemed like you are trying to flirt with me, you romantic pervert." Kourin stated and she gritted her teeth. It was obvious that she's blushing hardly.
"I'm not a pervert!" Aichi protested.
Kourin clicked her tongue in annoyance and she walked away, Aichi followed her.
"Princess!"
"Stay away!"
Aichi was about to catch her but then someone appeared and was looking at them, Aichi accidentally bumped on Kourin and he had to embrace her.
"Oh, it's just Kourin and her fiancé." It was Rekka, she gave a smug face to them. "Hey you two, if you'd like we have plenty of bedrooms in this palace."
"W-w-wha-" Kourin and Aichi both blushed and Aichi got off quickly from Kourin and Aichi kept a distance from her.
"How many times do I have to tell you to not get close to me?!" Kourin scolded and Aichi sweat dropped.
"I wasn't, princess! I accidentally bumped on you that's why!" Aichi replied awkwardly.
"Hey you two, can you give me a little favor here?" Rekka asked.
"What is it?" Kourin said.
"Well, I kind of want to try baking some cupcakes but I don't know. And since Kourin can cook and bake, will you help me?" Rekka said as she looked at her older sister with pleading eyes.
