-Chapter 11
"A blessing for the two newly wedded couple?" A woman with purple hair and blue eyes looked at the person standing next to her as she was sitting by the table and reading a book.
"Yes, and as the groom's friend. I want you to be the one to do that to them." The person replied, crossing his arms.
"Your highness," she gave an awkward smile. "I have second thoughts for this."
"Don't doubt this, and stop calling me like I'm royalty. I'm only a leader of a clan."
"Okay, but Kai... you know the king won't just easily agree to you, and he's the one to decide on this."
Kai scoffed as if what the woman had told him was a joke, "I was given an agreement that this is my part."
"..." She still doubted.
"Misaki, it's Aichi." Kai said, "You don't know that?"
"I know about Aichi's marriage with the princess, but I really don't think I can do this."
Kai sighed, "You're a goddess aren't you?"
Misaki's eyes twitch at Kai's comment, she closed her book. "Of course I am a goddess but that doesn't mean I can just do this easily. I want something in exchange."
"Exchange, huh..." Kai thought for a moment before he got an idea. "How about this- I'm exchanging one of my dragons for the blessing."
"Dragon? Are you serious? What am I going to do with your dragon?" Misaki had her eyebrows raised in annoyance.
Kai then smirked and chuckled, "I was kidding. Then will you help me?"
"Help you for what?"
Kai smiled as he told Misaki what he meant.
-
"Kai...."
Misaki found out what Kai meant to do, and it was to fight him. Her against Kai's power, and she was given a wooden sword.
"So, this is the only thing I'm really thinking of. Miwa won't spar with me." Kai explained, "Don't worry. I don't go easy on anyone, not even a goddess like you."
Misaki sighed in annoyance and she looked at Kai who took a stance.
"Fight me," Kai said.
Misaki only nodded and she watched as Kai suddenly attacked her. She would dodged as Kai tried to hit her, and she would counter the attack while using the wooden sword.
"You seem quite well here," Kai commented as he defended himself.
"I am a goddess, I know things like this." Misaki said.
Kai snickered, "By the book?"
"You insult me."
They continued fighting, until they went to the point where they got serious. Kai would try to actually hit Misaki, and Misaki suddenly used her spell that releases light and made Kai's wooden sword got cut in half.
"Hey!" Kai got angry, "It's only a spar!"
"Spar? You were trying to hurt me!" Misaki exclaimed.
And they both fought each other.
-Aichi was walking around outside, he went to the town and felt something strange. He walked up to the forest just near and heard some crash and he quickly ran towards the place.
When he reached that part of the forest, he saw a huge blast before he got near. He was lucky that he went down before the blast had hit him too.
Aichi stood and went to the scene, he took his sword with him and held it tightly.
"Excuse me! Is everyone okay?! I am Aichi, the leader of the Royal Paladins and I have come to-" Aichi spoke, but he stopped when he saw Kai and Misaki.
Kai is on the ground and is now holding his sword and Misaki is standing and is on her stance. It was clear that Misaki was the one who blasted the power.
"What... happened here?" Aichi asked.
Kai and Misaki saw Aichi and Kai was the first to speak. He slowly stood up and brushed the dirt off his clothes.
"In exchange for her to give a blessing on you and the princess, I have to spar with the goddess." Kai replied.
"Spar?! There was a huge blast and I don't think it's just a sparring session! And why did you decide to fight the goddess?!" Aichi scolded, in actuality, he's worried for everyone might think a war would happen and he is not going to like that at all.
"It was so that she'll be able to bless you two." Kai told Aichi.
Aichi sweat dropped and looked at Misaki, "Dear goddess, I deeply apologize for the Kagero leader's actions."
"No, it's okay. Actually he was getting on my nerves so I think this is a good thing." Misaki replied and gave an assuring smile.
'And YOU'RE happy with that?!' Aichi thought.
"Let's get this over with, Goddess Misaki!" Kai yelled and pointed his sword on the lilac haired goddess.
"Of course!" Misaki then took a stance.
"AHH!!!!!!"
-
"So..." Aichi looked at the two who both kneeled in defeat, exhausted. "This is... just a spar, right?"
Kai panted as he looked at Misaki, "Is this... okay now?"
"Yes..." Misaki breathed, "I accept your request."
Kai chuckled and looked at Aichi with a grin and gave a thumbs up, in which Aichi only smiled awkwardly.
"Aichi, young leader of the Royal Paladins, I will bless you and Kourin, Princess of United Sanctuary on your fated day." Misaki told Aichi.
"T-thank you so much!" Aichi said and gave a bow before he sighed. "So.. I guess I should go, I'll see you around, Kai. And goddess Misaki, I'll see you at my wedding."
"Okay."
As Aichi left, Kai and Misaki looked at each other again and smirked.
They turned to have a fight again, until they both got tired and had to both give up. It was only a spar, but this spar had become an actual fight. Will they ever stop? I'm getting tired of them having to fight because of Kai's weird agreement.
