Chapter 18: Cedric's Letter

Annabel open her eyes slowly to a different scenery which was a very similar shade of green. She was in her bedroom in her bed. She placed her hands on her head and rumped it as if she banged her head and started to moan. "What happen?" she mumbled. Realizing what happened she than sat up and started to panic. As she was just about to get out her bed a soft touch layed on her right shoulder. She turned around in a started and fell right off the bed taking the covers with her. When she fell off she landed on her back a loud thud was made. She also banged her head on the floor when she fell. While rubbing the back of her head a familiar face appeared over the bed.

"You ok?" the boy said.

"Cedric?" She said startled.

"Hahah nice to see you too, Are you feeling better?" Cedric asked

"I guess" as she rubbed her head and climbing back into the bed. "All I remember was you pulling me out of the water and then.... Oh my gosh" Annabel said while her eyes grew wider. "There was a crowd!"

"Yeah there is always a crowd at theses types of-" It took him a moment to realize what he said "I forgot you don't like being the center of attention in a huge crowd... That's why you-"

"Please don't tell me I fainted." Annabel said while crossing her fingers. Cedric didn't say a word. The two exchanged a glance and Annabel said "I fainted. Great. Now I can be known as fainting zoo freak." She said as she fell back into her bed. She took her covers and hid under her sheets. "I'm sorry you got stuck with a lame cousin like me".

"You are not lame! You are Annabel Scamander, a descendent from Newt Scamander, Daughter of Alyssa and Kayden Scamander who are the defenders of Hogwarts and let's not forget your wicked cool mind reading ability I wish to have." He took a pause to look at the still lump of a girl under the covers. He took a deep breath in. "I feel sorry for you. You got stuck with Cedric Wood, lousy no good Hufflepuff, who can't even win a tournament without a great pal like you, I can't do anything right and not to mention I am the son of a death eater." He said as he looked down and started to play with his yellow tie that he previously took off. Annabel moved from under the covers and sat up to face him.

"What are you talking about Ceddy? You are the most sweetest, kindest, bravest," under her breath she added "Handsome, and not to mention"

"Wait what did you say?"Cedric interrupted her

"Sweetest, Kindest bravest Hufflepuff- I could never face the things you face. You my hero." She said grinning at him. " And not to mention you have the best qualities of your dad and you mum who also love you very much. Plus you have some Diggory in you."

"That's what my mum says "I have some Diggory in me." He giggled a little. " I still don't know what she means by that but she loves calling me that." Cedric looked up from messing with tie. He was about to set down his tie on the night stand when he glanced over at clock.

"It's getting late, Who knows what the head boy will do to me if he finds out where I was." He went over to Annabel and kissed her on the head. "Get some rest you are going to need it for tomorrow" he said with a wink.

"Tomorrow? Oh no you mean dads test!"

"Night Annabel" Cedric said as he closed the door. Once the door was shut he started to turn around. He was stopped and his lips suddenly bumped into someone else. His eyes grew wider from the unexpecting kiss. The girl than kissed him back and wrapped her hand around his head and took the kiss as if it was meant to happen. When she placed her hand on his head Cedric pulled and step backed into the door making a big bump noise.

"I'm sorry Jenny I didn't mean to bump into you like that again."

"It's alright I enjoyed it. Both times!" Jenny said with a smile. She than reached out and tried to kiss Cedric. Cedric slipped past Jenny causing her to kiss the door.
