One.
A week had passed and there wasn't a second when Jayden didn't cross my mind. His thick, blonde hair and big green eyes wouldn't escape my mind. He never called me. I needed something to get over him. I dragged my blue pair of skinny jeans over my legs accompanied with a pale green t-shirt with matching green pumps with a small white flower pattern on the sides. I had agreed to meet up with some people from school, a sort of reunion. Coffee shop round the corner at eleven. Sounds fun, not. I hated school as soon as I was eighteen I moved a way, got a job, got a life. I work as a model. Not one of those horrible, stick thin, starve yourself ones. I just model ranges of clothes for companies like British Home Stores and Matalan, that sort of thing. It isn't too bad and the money is quite good. Jayden is a rugby 'star', I don't understand how. I find rugby to be one of the worse sports on the planet. Do you know how many people die from it a year? But it's because of him I can't even leave my house without 'Jayden Knight's model girlfriend leaves house without him. Read more to find out.' It's absolutely ridiculous! I've been labelled as his 'model girlfriend'. I thought through all this as I made my way to the front door promptly at ten thirty. Just enough time to get there. Although I knew it was pretty stupid to wear just a cardigan in the winter, which may I say was very expensive for a cardigan, I wore it anyway it was the only thing that didn't remind me of him that much. Of course, everything reminded me of him but still, I had to let it go. Six months is a long time away. He'll probably be out partying. Meet another girl. Another few girls. Prettier than me. Better than me. I shook these thoughts out my head approaching the big coffee shop. I walked in and a bell chimed as I pushed the door open. I first spotted Marvin, he grinned at me and sauntered over, then he held me tightly in his arms.
"Hey, little sis." He winked. We weren't actually related but he thinks we should be.
"Hello, big bro." I gasped as it I realised it rhymed. "Hello hello hello, to my big, big bro." I giggled and Marvin laughed with me.
"Strange child." He smiled, guiding me over to the others.
"Lucy, Alice, Charlie." I smiled to the girls and they welcomed me to warm hugs, except Alice who didn't do hugs. She just nodded her approval at me and I nodded back.
"Adam!" I grinned flinging my arms around him tightly before moving to my next reunion-ette. "Marvin...again." I laughed, flashing him another smile.
"Aston?" I said, unsure if we were still friends or what. He returned me with a gentle smile, I assumed that meant he'd forgotten what had happened, I didn't want him to forget everything though. Did I?
"Do you want a drink?" Marvin asked in my direction.
"No, I'm fine thanks." I said, emotionless.
"What's up, little one?" He asked sitting next to me. I glanced at Aston before looking back to Marvin and he nodded showing he understood. "Come back to mine after, we have a lot of catching up to do."
"It's a bit weird now..."
"But I haven't changed." He reassured me with a gentle nudge.
"No, you haven't, big bro." I glanced across the room to the others. Alice was telling another story of how her and Lord Voldemort were going to get married, I chuckled to myself. Still the same Alice. I stood up slowly.
"Where are you going?" Aston asked. I was surprised by both his voice and that he was watching me. I shrugged my shoulders at him as he studied me. "You've always been confusing." He smiled to himself, taking a sip of his strawberry milkshake.
"Have I?" I retorted, frustratedly. He replied with a nod. "Someone's being awfully quiet."
"You'd get annoyed if I spoke too much." Aston replied, deliberately trying to wind me up, with a smirk.
"Aston, I get annoyed just by looking at you."
"Don't look at me then."
"I didn't."
"You've been staring at me the last hour and you know it." He grinned believing he had the upper hand.
"Actually, I was looking at the guy behind you." I lied, but he fell for it easy enough, turning back to look at the guy behind him. As his back was turned I poured his milkshake all over his hair and down his neck before storming out the coffee shop. I heard a cheer from Alice, she loved violence so that kind of thing was just up her street, I hurriedly left embarrassed by what I had done.
