Chapter Tobias *cough* I mean Chapter Four. (If you've read Divergent/Insurgent then you know what I mean, hahaha)
When I opened my eyes my vision was blurred at first but I could see two beige, leather seats in front of me and in one of them someone was looking round at me, watching me. All I could define on him was sharp, jet black hair. The light fell in through the window next to me. I began to feel a sudden rush of exhaustion. I shut my eyes tightly before re-opening to get a clearer view. I was in Marvin's car again but this time it was bright daylight. Because I sat up, I had slept in the comfortable back seat, I could now see the two people in the front: Marvin and Aston.
"Someone's a deep sleeper," Marvin chucked. I rolled my eyes at his comment. "You do know in cars they have an amazing invention called mirrors." He winked and Aston laughed. I looked at Aston for a few moments, but when he realised I was looking at him and he looked at me, I quickly looked away to crawl back into the back seats.
"You sleep beautifully." I heard Aston murmur.
"Err, thanks." I muttered, not exactly knowing what to say to that. I fell back onto the cushioned seat and whisked myself back to dreamland.
I woke up, shortly after by the front seat doors slamming, I was awake but I decided to keep my eyes closed for a while. I could feel the door next to me opening and someone wrapping their arms around me, effortlessly lifting me up. Soon enough, I felt myself being placed down again. This place was much more comfortable. My head felt like it was resting on clouds. Even better; it was warmer. I felt the door shut so I opened my eyes. I was in a bed. A double bed. I moved over to the side and saw a picture of Aston, his sister and brother dressed up. And on the other side a picture of his Mum and him. I smiled. There was small chatter directly below the floor boards.
All I could hear of Marvin's voice was "Are you...to have her...She'll probably wake up soon."
"Yeah, it's fine." Aston's voice was a little clearer and louder.
"I don't think she...you, you know." Marvin replied.
"Perhaps, over some time. I did hurt her, not physically but..." Aston continued. I decided not to listen anymore and I fell back onto Aston's bed. As I did so a blast of loud music came out of nowhere. I must've hit the stereo on his bedside table. They've sure heard it now, I thought. I quickly pretended to be asleep.
"How can she sleep through that?" Marvin asked, covering his ears at the noise.
"She isn't asleep, are you Jess?" Aston grinned and I rolled over and smiled at him. My hair had fallen over my face so he moved it. I shut my eyes again. "Why do you keep preventing us from seeing your lovely eyessssssssssss?" He sang.
"Um, I don't know but I wanna go home now. My home." I said, directly at Marvin.
"This was and always will be your home as much as mine." Aston muttered.
"I thought you moved." I replied.
"Nope, couldn't leave all these memories behind." Aston walked to the wardrobe and took out a photo album.
"I'm sorry, Ast, but I can't do this." I said before dragging Marvin out with me.
