Seven.
An hour and a forty five minutes later and Alice put her brush down, grinning. I glanced back to Lucy and she stuck her thumb up. I sighed my thanks before looking in the mirror.
"I'm not going out like this!" I stated, appalled by the length of the red dress which barely covered my bum. I had to admit my hair was quite nice with a few loose curls and the rest of it wavy/straight reaching a quarter down my back. I was only wearing eyeliner, mascara, a little foundation, shiny lip gloss and red and white marbled nail polish but Alice had made it so I looked terrible.
"I don't think you have a choice. We like it. Mystery man will like it. Plus, it has just hit eight now." Lucy confirmed, sympathetically. I scanned myself in the mirror again and again but I still didn't like it.
"Jess, you always think you look horrible-" Alice began before I interrupted her.
"I do!" I sighed, frustrated I sat on my bed.
"Polo?" Lucy offered breaking the silence.
"Me and Lucy should leave..." Alice said, nudging Lucy.
"I wanna see mystery dude, though." She complained, laughing so we knew she wasn't serious.
"We'll be back in the morning expecting ALL the details." Alice winked as I walked them downstairs to the door.
"Bye guys." I smiled, closing the door. Silence echoed through the house. I quickly charged up the stairs to change my dress, there was no way I was wearing something this high in front of Aston. I know him well enough to know that would give him the complete wrong impression of me. Not that I cared that much what he thought about me, we were only going for a chat. Just a chat. I searched my wardrobe and finally settled for a longer, red dress that ended close to the floor which had a loose, white belt tight around it but showing my pearl white flat shoes with a small heel. I put a few bracelets around my wrist before spraying a few more sprays of perfume.
My phone buzzed loudly and vibrated enough to fall off my bedside table and onto the hard floor. I picked it up, it was a text from Jayden. Confused, I opened it.
'Skype later?xx'
Just as I had finished reading it there was a three knocks on the door. Two figures were standing there. I opened the door and Aston's eyes widened, Marvin grinned at me. Marvin was wearing an 'ordinary' tuxedo but with a green bow. Aston was wearing a black blazer type thing, a white shirt that he really needed to button up, and black low jeans. Both of them couldn't wipe the grins off their faces.
"Hi..." I started.
"Hey, gorgeous." Aston smiled and held his hand out for me to take. I took it and for a second our faces became really close. His eyes were still the same beautiful brown, the hypnotic kind, the mesmerising kind. "I see you're wearing the dress I bought you, for your birthday, that you never wore." Aston grinned, I didn't even realise or maybe I did do it on purpose.
The three of us walked a few streets. The pair of them stopped, I scanned the street to see various cars before looking right in front of to see a huge black limo, Marvin pulled open the door politely. "Get in then." He winked at me.
"Um, okay." I laughed at how I had no clue what was going on. Aston got in after me and Marvin got into the drivers seat. When I got in I was immediately met by a jacuzzi in the corner, about fifteen bottles of champagne, two luxurious sofas, a giant speaker and of course The Saturdays were playing, Marvin's favourite band. "Woah, you didn't have to do this for me." I sighed at how much trouble they must have went through.
"It was nothing." Aston smiled, pouring two glasses of champagne and handing me one.
"How on Earth did you afford this?!"
"She doesn't know about JLS." Marvin chipped in, I looked back to Aston waiting for him to explain.
"You know how I loved singing, well I still love it, and me, Marvin, and two other guys you haven't met yet...We made a boy band called JLS." Aston said, sipping some of his champagne. I burst out laughing.
"Okay so seriously..." I giggled half way through my glass of champagne.
"I am being serious." Aston gently putting one hand on my cheek; bringing us to eye contact. Aston's eyes locked on mine and he slowly brought his face closer to mine, tilting his face as he did so. I flickered my eyes from his to his lips then back to his eyes again. He stopped moving closer as we were literally an inch or two from touching. I forgot about everything for a few moments before I suddenly remembered it all. I stepped back and he kissed the air almost falling over. "Hey," He smirked, laughing and pouring himself another glass and topping up mine. I stayed silent. "Babe, did I upset you?" He asked me.
"When? Now? Or..." I gulped as I heard him sigh. He then came into me again and quickly pushed his lips onto mine, self consciously I held my hands together behind his neck as he held his loosly behind my back. Gently, with our lips still together, he pulled my back towards him and I slid onto his lap. Our kiss lasted quite a while but time didn't matter at all with him, a minute felt like forever. He pulled away. "No, this is wrong. You have Jayden." Aston moved my hair behind my ear but my fringe just came out again. I laughed at it before being serious again.
"How can it be wrong if it felt right?" I whispered.
"Sorry, can you just repeat that? Louder." Aston winked before laughing, I laughed with him. But the question still went through my mind. Was I right to be with Jayden? "I've waited for that kiss for so long."
"Marv, can you stop please?" I called through, he was confused but he pulled over and I climbed out the limousine.
"Jess, wait!" Aston ran out before running right in front of me. I stormed past him and continued to speed walk home.
"Ast, leave it. There will be other time times." Marvin shouted and Aston gave me one last glance.
"There won't." I whispered to him as he held my gaze.
"I'll make sure their will be." Aston kissed my cheek quickly, I took one last breathe of his delicious, musky scent, before he jogged back to Marvin.
