Like what Jihoon had said, throughout middle and high school Hyein stuck with Kyulkyung upon the reconmendation - mainly because it was difficult for Hyein to make friends after he had left.
"Hyein!" Kyulkyung slammed her hands against Hyein's desk to which Hyein looked up in surprise. Kyulkyung looked around to see kids staring at her, Kyulkyung apologizing before turning to face Hyein. "I'm going to get snacks from the school store, do you want anything?"
"Surprise me." Hyein shrugs before turning back to the window, Kyulkyung dashing out of the classroom. Currently it was break time and like usual kids were off doing whatever, some roaming the hallways while others conversed in the classroom. The weather reminded her of that one day she went to get ice cream with Jihoon, the trees were swaying in the breeze as leaves and flower petals were flowing in the wind. Hyein always wondered how he turned out, shortly after he got accepted his family moved away to be closer to the school.
She was so caught up in her thoughts to not realize Kyulkyung offering her candies, Hyein snapping out of her thoughts before thanking Kyulkyung. Hyein rips open the packet of candies and snacks while Kyulkyung takes her seat next to her.
"You seem to be in deep thought a lot these days," Kyulkyung states. "What're you thinking of?"
"Not much, that's all." Hyein turns to face her friend prior to giving her a reassuring nod, Kyulkyung doing the same.
