Unlike how the weather had been recently, today was an exception as Hyein woke up to raindrops hitting the window. She was still groggy as she walked to the kitchen to fix herself breakfast, her eyelids still coated with sleep. After finishing breakfast she did the dishes and proceeded to get ready although she didn't see herself going out today, still she performed her usual routine.

Similar to yesterday, she found herself back on the couch watching TV as the rain continued, both the rain and the background noise of the TV bringing her peace. She even went as far as to fix herself tea while sitting against the window sill as she admired the raindrops that fell here and there. Eventually she went back to her room to fetch her phone as the thought of her receiving any calls or messages from her parents had slipped her mind. As predicted she received a few missed calls and had unread messages from her parents, the messages stating her parents will be arriving sooner than expected due to the weather conditions over there.

Hyein was puzzled as she saw another unread message from an unknown number, she was tempted to delete it right away but something drew her to read the message. Her eyes grew wider upon reading the text, she was hesitant to reply and instead took a more dangerous approach and called the number. The other end of the line rang three times prior to someone picking up, the other end of the receiver speaking first.

"Hello?" Hyein was at a loss for words to respond, the other end of the line waiting for a response. "Hello? Hyein?"

"Jihoon, is this really you?" Hyein could feel herself getting choked up as her eyes begin to tear up, her hand clamped over her mouth as she starts to tremble.

"It is, Hyein let's meet up again." Jihoon boldly proposes. "It's been a while." Hyein nodded quickly; she didn't realize he actually couldn't see her actions, in which she forced a response. "Great, let's meet by that one park we had ice cream when we were younger."

"Okay, I'll see you soon." The call shortly ended and Hyein found herself slipping on her shoes and grabbing a nearby umbrella before going to meet him, for some reason her heart began to beat faster with each step she took.
