Sky thought about trying to hide the fact that she couldn't stop smiling, as she made her way to the dining hall, the next morning; but she decided it wasn't worth the fight. She was happy. She didn't care who knew as long as they didn't know the reason.
"Morning Julie Bee!" she said, bumping Jules's hip before she grabbed a plate.
"Must get coffee," Jules said robotically.
Sky stepped out of her way, knowing anyone who got in the way of Jules and her morning coffee was in dangerous territory.
"Why are you up so early?" Johnny grumpily asked. "I thought you had the day off."
"I do!" Sky answered, walking away before she had to give any more details.
"Better?" she asked, when Jules sat down next to her, half of her large coffee mug empty.
"What?" Jules asked, back to her normal chipper self.
"Nothing."
"Where were you last night?" Jules asked, "Everybody missed Knox."
Sky had to catch herself before she spit out her juice. "Well, it's nice to know I'm missed."
"I think Nico missed him the most. Kept saying that if Knox was there, they could get a real game started."
"Well-"
"Can you believe that today is the last day?" Jules asked dramatically. "There are so many people I still haven't met and I don't know how I am going to meet them all."
Sky could hear the panic in Jules's voice and knew she was being completely serious.
"I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out somehow," she encouraged her.
"Do you have today off?" Jules asked, her mind seemed to be all over the place.
"I do."
"Getting in some quality Knox time?" Jules asked quietly.
"Actually-"
"How late did Louis keep you working last night?" Johnny interrupted, sliding in next to Sky.
"So late," she said, relieved to have a change of topics. "I'm getting off the ship in order to avoid him. If I'm not here then he can't give me work to do."
"Smart. Hopefully he'll be in a better mood today," Johnny said.
"I heard about the way he was acting yesterday. What was wrong?" Jules asked.
"Maybe you should ask Sky here," he said.
"What happened?" she asked, her face intent.
"Like I would know," Sky said easily. "I didn't get a chance between all my jobs to sit down to tea with him and ask him what was bothering him."
"Come grab food with me," Anders said, nodding his head in the direction of the buffet.
"I already have food," she said. He gave her a pointed look and she jumped up from her seat to follow him.
"How was that fresh air last night?" he knowingly asked.
She smiled. "Refreshing and amazing!"
"Good, because I have something for you."
Sky gave him a questioning look and almost jumped when he took her hand.
"What?" Sky looked down at their joined hands.
"Be careful," he said, giving her hand a look before walking away to sit at a table.
Sky acted casual as she finished off a few more bites and then excused herself from the table. She ducked into a small closet, once she left the dining hall, and opened the piece of paper Anders had slipped her.
