"I told you there were a lot of girls," Knox said with a justifying tone.
"Sure. Let's pretend I believe you." Sky smirked.
"Seriously."
Sky started to laugh. "I do believe you," she said. "I witnessed the volleyball fiasco this morning."
He groaned. "I was just trying to find something to do where there wasn't a chance anyone would try to sit on my lap."
Knox and Sky were sitting on the end of her bed. After clearing up the situation, Sky had offered to check if the coast was clear so he could get back to his room. She had stuck her head out her door. The halls had been clear but when he went to leave, girls voices could be heard down the hall. Sky had suggested they wait until Anders showed up.
"I wish they were calm enough so we could have conversation," he said.
"Poor rock star, can't keep the girls from falling all over you," she joked.
He gave shocked looked. "Thanks. I can feel the empathy from here," he said. "So, who is this Anders guy?"
"He would be the security guard who dragged me out of your room this morning."
"Really?"
"Yeah. He likes to make my life difficult."
"But, he acted like you were some crazy fan."
"Like I said, he likes to make my life hard."
"He knew who you were and just played along?" Knox asked.
"He did. Don't worry though, I promised to get him back in front of William Bentley," she said.
"William Bentley? The NASCAR driver?"
"He has a slight obsession with him. I would measure his obsession with William Bentley to that of the girl who flung herself into your arms during the volleyball game."
Knox's eyes shot up. "I fear for William Bentley then," he laughed.
"Don't worry. Anders isn't a fall into your arms kind of guy. He is more like the 'pin you in a corner and relive your career highlights' kind of guy."
"I know that type and I don't know which is worse," Knox said.
A loud voice could be heard outside Sky's room and they both looked towards the door. Sky listened for a moment more before standing up and moving towards the door.
"And that would be Anders," she said. She opened the door open before he could knock.
"Sky, you won't believe the mob of girls I just ran into," Anders said, barging into the room. "I have no idea what they are doing on this floor."
"I think I have an idea," Knox said, standing up from the bed.
"Who's this?" Anders asked. He crossed his arms defensively.
"You don't recognize him?" Sky asked. She walked over to stand by Knox.
Anders studied him for a second, then it clicked. "My, how the tables have turned," he said. "Sky, you want me to drag him out of your room?"
Sky could feel Knox freeze and pretended to think it over for a moment. "I think I'll let him stay since the girls still seem to be on the hunt," she said.
"They're crazy!" Anders said. He was reminded of what he had been so excited about before Knox had distracted him. "I was walking down the hall and then I heard some girls calling out but I ignored it..."
