"Hi! I'm Mason Woods, who are you?" A girl asks me as I'm at my locker. This isn't my first new school. You see I'm an army brat, so I move schools nonstop. So I don't try to get attached to anyone, making me come off a little standoffish. So when I say this, it seems a little rude.

"I'm Erin Pierce. And you?" As soon as I say this I hear the standoffish tone and I cringe. "Sorry I sound really standoffish, I'm usually like that around strangers." I say apologetically.

"It's fine, I understand. I was new here once too. The people here are so nice though. Except Liangelo Ball, he can be a little standoffish sometimes. But other than that he's great. Anyways, what's your first class? Mine is chemistry." She says cheerily and I smile.

"Me too, can you show me there?" I ask and she nods sm"So where are you from?" Mason asks and I laugh. We start walking and I begin to explain.

"Well, I'm an army brat. So I was originally born in New York. But I moved here from Arizona. But I've been so many places." I say and she 'ooh's.

"I've always wanted to go to New York. Anyways, we're here. I would suggest going and talking to the teacher, that's what most new kids here do. Because otherwise they won't notice you because there's so many kids that go here." She says and goes to her seat and sits in front of a bunch of girls and starts talking to them.

All of the sudden an extremely attractive guys walks in and my attention is on him immediately. He's got a muscular build and braces. He looks extremely pissed off so I decide to listen to the teacher again.

"So, I would like you to sit beside Mason since you know her. I'll move Casey over beside LiAngelo. Is that okay with you?" Mr.Bassett asks and I nod, and he moves me to Casey's spot and moves her.

Mason smiles at me sweetly and then class starts. The teacher happens to be extremely funny and Chemistry is my favorite subject anyways so it makes the class even better. As soon as the bell rings, LiAngelo is the first to leave and I roll my eyes. I go straight to my locker and grab my books for my next class, History. Luckily, my history class is right next to my locker. As I turn around someone runs into me and I drop my books.

"Hey, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention. It's my fault. Also, damn you're fine." The boy with curly hair says looking me up and down. I chuckle and smile. He picks up my books for me and hands them to me.

"Thanks. I like your hair." I say.

"Thank you, I'm Lamelo. What's your name?" 'Lamelo' asks and I smile again.

"Erin. I'd love to stand here and talk to you all day but I have to go introduce myself as the new student in my history class. But I'll see you around?" I ask and he smirks.

"Damn right you will." He says and walks in the direction of his class.

I walk into my history class and there's Liangelo again. This time he's sitting in front, and I catch myself staring. I quickly look away and introduce myself to the teacher. He sits me in the back and I sigh. This is gonna be a long day.

~~ (time skip to after school)

As I'm walking to my locker after the school day has ended I spot Lamelo at my locker.

"Hi." I say and he smiles.

"Hey. So I just wanted to know if you wanted to come to one of our basketball games?" Lamelo asks, giving me puppy dog eyes and I laugh.

"I'd love to. But I know like nobody here." I say.

"Not true. You know me." He says. Just then Liangelo walks up and scoffs.

"Sup lil bro?" Liangelo asks laughing. "I see you're into older women," he adds looking me up and down. He licks his lips and I scoff.

"So what if he is?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. Liangelo staresat me after my smart comment.

"Tongue piercing and a smart ass. You're my kinda girl after all." Liangelo says with a smirk.

"Seems about right. I'll see you around Erin." Lamelo says and walks off. I try to walk away but Liangelo grabs my arm.

"You know he's a freshman right?" Liangelo asks.

"No, I have no idea who he is honestly. Neither do I know you. Should I or something?" I ask sarcastically.

"I mean if you call yourself a basketball fan yeah, if not then I wouldn't expect it. Look up Lamelo  and Liangelo Ball later and you'll find out all about us. Anyways, I've gotta drive the bro home. You should hit me up sometime so we can hook up." He says and winks, leaving his number on a piece of paper. I roll my eyes and head home, knowing today has been an interesting one already.

The moment I get home I hear my parents fighting over who gets the remote and I laugh.

"Hi mom. Hi dad." I say and they redirect their attention.

"Hi sweetie. Did you make any friends at school? Did you meet a boy?" My dad asks and I roll my eyes.

"Yes I made a friend and yes I met a boy. Freshman though." I say and my dad shakes his head.

"Age doesn't matter honey." My mom says and I laugh.

"Yeah yeah. Dad you're a basketball fan right?" I ask.

"Yeah, why?" My dad asks.

"Do you know Lamelo and Liangelo Ball?" I ask.

"Well yeah, they're huge. Lamelo is a freshman starter at your high school and has been committed to UCLA for a couple years now. Same for Liangelo. Why?" He asks, obviously puzzled by me asking the question.

"Well Lamelo is the guy I met today. Met Liangelo too. Total douche but Lamelo was super nice." I say and my dad smiles.

"I'm gonna need you to date one of those boys so I can get some tickets to those games." He says and I laugh.

"I doubt it."
