The next day Caitlyn had requested to have a few of them to meet by the Weirwood tree. Jaidyn could not seem to forget about Bran's assassination attempt.

"What I'm about to tell you must remain between us." Caitlyn said carefully as she watched the group in front of her. "I don't think Bran fell from that tower. I think he was thrown."

A part of Jaidyn knew that Caitlyn's words were true. She had seen him climb countless times before and he had never fallen once.

"The boy was always surefooted before." Maester Luwin commented.

"Someone tried to kill him twice. Why? Why murder an innocent child? Unless he saw something he wasn't meant to see." Caitlyn questioned logically.

"Saw what, my lady?" Theon questioned.

"I don't know. But I would stake my life the Lannisters are involved. We already have reason to suspect their loyalty to the crown." Caitlyn said with reason.

"Did you notice the dagger the man had?" Jaidyn said motioning to Ser Rodrik."It's too fine of a weapon for such a man."

"The blade is Valyrian steel and the handle dragonbone. Someone gave it to him." Ser Rodrik said holding the knife.

"They come into my home and try to murder my brother. If it's a war they want-" Robb said angrily.

"If it comes to that, you know I'll stand beside you." Theon said quickly.

"What, is there going to be a battle in the Godswood? Too easily words of war become acts of war. We don't know the truth yet. Lord Stark must be told of this." Jaidyn couldn't help but agree with Maester Luwin.

"I don't trust a raven to carry these words." Caitlyn said with concern.

"I'll ride to King's Landing." Robb said.

"No. There must always be a Stark in Winterfell." Jaidyn couldn't help but agree. With Robb being Lord of Winterfell he would be more at risk.

"Let me go." Jaidyn said quickly. "I'll travel quickly and quietly."

"No!" Voices sounded as Jaidyn spoke.

"Jaidyn, my girl, you are needed here." Caitlyn said softly.

"It's too dangerous, Jai." Robb said shaking his head.

Jaidyn sighed but nodded anyway. She could handle herself but decided not to argue.

"I will go, myself."
