TYLER’s POV

We both were seated on the couch. There was some sort of awkward tension in the air which I wasn’t able to understand. Now a day’s whenever I am around Kaavya I feel some sort of a magnetic pull towards her. I feel good different around her, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, either I have gone mad or on the verge of it.

It’s like in her absence I always think about her and just thinking about her, a smile makes its way onto my face. God I sound like someone from a sappy romantic movie.

We both fell silent for some time. Suddenly I remembered what she had said before.. “Mr. Tyler Cross” and boy did it sound hot coming from her mouth.

As if some hormones started kicking in, I started leaning towards her slowly and when she realized what I am doing she got a bit nervous but quickly covered it up.

“Uh what are you doing Ty, trying to make a move on me or something?” she asked in trying her best to not show her nervousness in front of me but she was failing. It was quite amusing to watch.

“You know what Kaavya?” I asked in a serious tone

“Uh what?” she asked in a low voice

“My full name coming out from your mouth sounds sexy as hell.” I said leaning closer. Till this point we were very close and I could feel the erratic pounding of her heartbeat.

Her lips were parting again and again and my eyes flicked between her eyes and lips and as if on cue she closed her eyes as if speculating of the next thing that was going to happen.

So I also leaned closer my lips were about to touch hers but the door bell rang making us jolt apart in realization.

Kaavya’s eyes went wide when she looked at me and she was flustered.

The doorbell rang again.

So she quickly got up to answer the door.

I also followed behind and when she opened the door, I saw that it was the watchman. He came to handover some sort of an envelope.

After he left and she closed the door, she turned around and instead of looking at me, cast her eyes down finding interest in her slippers.

The awkward tension was so thick in the air that it could be easily cut with a knife.

“Uh I should go, I’ll see you later.” I said and started to go towards the door when he voice stopped me.

“Ty wait..” she called from behind

I turned around and looked at her.

“Umm wh…what…what was that?” she asked in a low voice stuttering.

I didn’t know how to explain this because I myself don’t know what happened just a few minutes before.

“Frankly I don’t know Kaavya but whatever it was, it was my fault as I started it and I shouldn’t have done it. I am extremely sorry for that. I don’t what came upon me but I never meant to freak you out. Can we please act forget this as if it never happened?” I pleaded

She just nodded meekly. She hadn’t looked at me still.

“Are you ok? Are you mad at me or something? If so please tell me.” I asked

“I am not mad at you, I am just confused and I don’t know what to say but anyway it’s ok and let’s forget it and move on.”

I scratched the back of my head laughing slightly and nodded.
