"Her vitals, blood pressure, heart rate, everything is.....fine. You say she didn't remember what had happened?" Dr. Brown asked. I nodded.

Starlet was inside, her wrists shackled to the bed, giving her about three feet of moving room. I know that seems extreme, but Dr. Browm just wanted to be safe.

"Well. To get a full synopsis, we'll have to recreate that anger," Dr. Brown said before walking back into the room Starlet was in.

I didn't want to see her that angry again, but it was the only way to see what was wrong.

Wesley said he'd help me make Starlet snap again. I was right beside the door, and Wesley pushed me through it.

I fell right in front of Starlet, who had a shocked expression. Wesley growled loudly as he stalked through the broken door.

"W-Wesley!" Starlet screamed, jumping to her feet, although the shackles held her arms down by her sides. I could feel her anger and confusion, although it wasn't the level of anger from the training camp.

"I'll kill him!" Wesley growled. Ok, maybe he really is trying to kill me.

"Wesley! Quit it!" Starlet yelled, yanking against the shackles.

Wesley took out a hunting knife and pounced on me, holding the knife to my throat.

"What the hell?!" I said, seriously afraid for my life.

"I SAID QUIT IT!" Starlet screamed, and she snapped again.

Her anger began to crash into me in waves, and when I looked at her, her eyes were once again red. She yanked and broke the chains easily.

"Get the fuck out of here, Wesley!" I shouted at him

"Shit, shit, SHIT!" Wesley breathed, quickly getting off of me and backpedaling out of the room.

Starlet was about to follow when Dr. Brown grabbed her arm. Starlet swung around with her other hand, but Dr. Brown ducked and injected Starlet with a serum.

Starlet screamed loudly before dropping down onto the bed, asleep.

"What was that you gave her?" I asked as I went over to the bed. I cradled Starlet's head in my lap, brushing stray pieces of hair out of her face.

I was confident Dr. Brown didn't give Starlet anything to hurt her. I trusted her.

"Just a simple serum. She's fine, and she'll only be asleep for a few more minutes. I have to go look over the data I've collected. I'll come back in a moment," Dr. Brown said before collecting her papers and leaving.

I kissed Starlet's forehead gently, stroking her hair.

"What's wrong with Starlet?" I heard a small voice say, and Jasper walked over to the bed.

"She's just asleep. She'll be fine. Can you go get Mr. and Mrs. Loving?" I replied, and he nodded before running out of the room.

"Alex? What happened? All I remember is Wesley trying to hurt you," Starlet asked quietly, coming to.

"You tried to murder Wesley," I chuckled.

"What?! Why would I do that?!" Starlet asked frantically.

"Hey, it's fine. Wesley's fine," I said, calming her.

"I don't like this, Alex. Why can't I remember?" Starlet asked, sitting up.

"Your mental state isn't strong enough to accept your demonic state," Dr. Brown answered, coming back into the room with a small leather bag.

"D-demonic?" Starlet whimpered.

"Yes, demonic. I haven't completely figured it out, but some time between the ages of one and three years old, you had demon's blood injected directly into your system. I have no idea how, but it's the only explanation," Dr. Brown explained. I didn't know what to think about that. My mate has demon blood in her right now.

"But if it happens every time she gets overly upset, why didn't it happen when those scumbags at her party attacked her?" I asked.

"The injection they gave her. It not only put her wolf to sleep, but dampened her spiritual energy," Dr. Brown answered, setting the leather bag she had on the bedside table.

"I don't understand. What exactly happens to me?!" Starlet asked.

"You lose yourself to the demon's blood running through you," Dr. Brown replied. She pulled a gold chain out of the leather bag. On the end was a rustic looking lock. Starlet recoiled away from it, scooting to the other side of the bed and standing.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Her demon's blood is responding. After this lock was forged, it was blessed in the Moon Goddess's Lake. Starlet, come over here?" Dr. Brown said gently.

Starlet shook her head no. Dr. Brown continued to try to coax her over, but she stayed pressed against the wall.

"You can trust me, Starlet," Dr. Brown said.

"What does that do, exactly?" I asked, referring to the lock.

"This will suppress her demon's blood until she either needs it, or is practicing to control it. There are nine keys in all. One for Starlet, one for me, one for each of the betas, one for each of the alphas, one for supreme Alpha Lewis, one for supreme Luna Venus, and one for you," Dr. Brown said, pulling nine silver keys out that were just as aged as the lock.

"Why do the supreme alphas need keys for Starlet?" I asked curiously. The supreme alphas were the two most important werewolves in both North and South America.

"This isn't a usual case, Xander. I must contact the supreme alpha and inform them immediately. They'll most certainly want to take a look at Starlet," Dr. Brown explained, "please Starlet, this won't hurt you."

"Give me the lock," I said quietly. Dr. Brown looked hesitant, but handed it to me nonetheless. She left the room after telling me that she was contacting the supreme alphas. She took all but two keys with her.

I stood and walked silently around the bed to Starlet, but she turned and backed up quickly, hitting her head roughly on the wall.

"It's alright, Starlet," I said, sitting the lock on the bed. Starlet stared from me to the lock.

"Come here," I mumbled, and she was in my open arms in an instant.

"W-What's happening to me? Why is all of this happening now?" She asked, her voice coming out in a rasp.

"You'll be fine, Starlet. But you have to trust Dr. Brown when she says she won't hurt you. She's been the pack doctor since we were kids," I whispered to her.

After a while of silence, Starlet pulled away from me and picked up the lock off the bed. She winced when it came in contact with her skin, but moved her hair out of the way and clipped the necklace on.

She gasped, and her eyes flashed red again before they winked out, and they were blue again. Mr. and Mrs. Loving entered the room, looking worried.

"Hey, Star. How's it going?" Mrs. Loving asked.

'Do you know why I have demon's blood inside of me?" She asked.

Her parents both exchanged guilty glances before sighing.
