Xander's p.o.v.
I was awoken when my door was thrown open.
"Xander. Starlet," Leilah breathed, unable to form a sentence. Her lip was busted and she was bleeding from a long gash on her arm.
"Where is she?!" I growled, realizing she was no where to be found.
"Dungeon. She tried.....to kill......everyone," Leilah gasped. I was upstairs in the attic in an instant.
The cells were all empty except for one, which Starlet was currently contained in. She was gagged and her arms were chained with multiple forms of restraints. When she looked up at me, her eyes were completely red. She'd lost it.
I quickly opened the cell door using a key, and Starlet jerked on her restraints. One chain gave way. She was screaming at me through the gag. Clenched in her fist was a tattered piece of paper. The letter....
'Why!? Why did you hide this from her!?' I heard the thought in my mind, and it wasn't Starlet. It sounded like her, but it was the-
'Demon inside! Why did you hide this from her?!' The voice asked again.
I didn't know what to say. Dr. Brown burst through the attic door, a syringe in her hand. She approached Starlet carefully, stopping when another chain gave way.
"The supreme alpha and luna will arrive in an hour. She'll be awake by then," Dr. Brown said to me quietly before lunging, injecting Starlet in her neck. Starlet's body went limp, held up only by the chains.
I undid the restraints on her arms, and as soon as I unlocked the last one, Mrs. Loving walked beside me in the attic, Starlet's lock in her hand. She silently clipped it around Starlet's neck and left the room.
I picked Starlet up and carried her down to my room. I sat her in my bed and took the letter from her. Even in sleep, she still held it tightly. I took a match and burned the letter, watching as it turned to ash.
After about forty minutes of silence, Starlet stirred, then awoke. She didn't say anything. She sat up and pulled her knees to her chest, looking straight ahead. I watched her, and she didn't move from that position.
"I'm going," It was barely a whisper, but I heard it loud and clear.
"No you're not," I responded.
"You don't control me," she said quietly.
"You aren't going. That's final!" I nearly growled.
"I hate you, Xander," she said, no emotion in her voice whatsoever. I stared at her in shock as I felt my heart being ripped to shreds.
Dr. Brown entered the room a few minutes later with a woman and man. The woman had silver hair and blue eyes, and the man had sandy brown hair and green eyes.
"Supreme Alpha Lewis and Supreme Luna Venus, this is Starlet," Dr. Brown said, and I immediately bowed.
"This is her mate, Alexander," she continued.
"Hello Starlet, how are things going?" Supreme Luna Venus asked, sitting on the bed next to Starlet.
"I don't know," Starlet whispered, and her voice was still void of emotion. Her eyes were dull, and she didn't do anything to greet the Supreme Alphas.
"Well that's not good, is it?" Supreme Alpha Lewis said, and they didn't seem official. They seemed like regular people trying to cheer someone up.
"I hate my life," Starlet said to everyone's astonishment.
"That's very negative," Supreme Luna Venus said a bit nervously.
