Sherlock's POV

When I woke, I saw John sitting on the floor again, scrubbing at the blood droplets on the carpet. I got up in one swift movement as I headed towards the bathroom.

As I opened the door, the smell of disinfectant swarmed over me. The moment I caught a whiff of it, my head ached. I slid in and pulled the door close with my left hand. I winced, remembering what I had done the previous night. I looked down to my wrist to see that the bandage had become undone during the night. When I was done, I slid out and stood behind John. He mustn't of heard me because he jumped when I cleared my throat.

"Good morning John. I am sorry for what I did last night, it was inappropriate and completely uncalled for. Although you did an excellent job on dressing my arm last night it has seemed to have become undone. Would you mind re-doing it for me?" I spoke softly to him, keeping my voice calm. I was still shaken from everything that had happened so I was afraid that if I spoke any louder than a whisper that my voice would crack and I would break down in tears.

"Yeah, of corse. Lemme just go get the bandages, you sit down on your bed, I'll be right back." He said as he stood up, rushing out the door.

'Why doesn't he seem annoyed today ?' I asked myself. It was a minute later when he walked in. He was holding bundled up bandages. He knelt beside me like he did the night before.

"John?" I asked as he was unrolling the bandage. "Yeah ?" He asked, pausing to look up at me. "Why weren't you talking to me last night? I was calling you and shaking your shoulder but completely ignored me." I told him as he stared up at me like a lots puppy. "You where calling me? I-I didn't hear you, I was just thinking." He said as he turned his attention to bandaging my arm.

"Oh, what were you thinking about ?" I asked him when he was finished. "Huh, oh, nothing, it was nothing" he said as he stood up, giving me a reassuring smile. "How's the arm, is it still sore?" He asked when he lay on his bed. "Um, it sting a little but it always does the day after. It won't be as sore tomorrow." I told him, laying down myself.

He quietly mumbled an 'oh' before he began reading his book. I left him to his own devises as I entered my mind palace, trying to push away the thought of pain. John invaded my mind like always. I had so much information on John stored in my mind palace, I don't think I have as much information on anything else. There things like his favourite food - jam, his favourite clothes - jumpers, favourite animal - dogs, book - the hobbit, colour - red, tv show - doctor who/ supernatural, etc. I couldn't think straight when I was around him.

When snapped back into reality, I see that John has left. I sit up and see that there is a piece of paper on the pillow next to me. It was John's writing, 'Hi Sherlock, I've just gone for a walk, hope you don't mind. I tried talking to you, but you didn't seem to notice and I didn't want to interrupt you. I shouldn't be gone for too long, see you in a bit. -John x' I couldn't help but smile at the x he put at the end.

I got up, carefully folding the note as I walked into my wardrobe that led to a secret room. I carefully put the note on one of the shelves before I got down on my knees and began searching through a bin bag that held old shoe boxes. I pulled out one that was red in colour. I lifted it up and placed it on the shelf beside the note. I took the lid off and put the note inside carefully before I replaced the lid.
