It’s Friday, and Cleotora still isn’t talking to me. Only this time, I don’t know why. And I still don’t know what she saw behind me. But right now, I don’t care about Cleotora. If she wants to ignore me and not tell what’s wrong then that’s her choice. But today’s finally the day I get to dance with Richard! I still can’t believe he asked me to the dance!

Ever since he asked me I’ve been really excited. At first, I did feel slightly guilty, because of Lucy. But then I realized that if she was going to be all close to Callum and just leave Richard, (well that’s what it looked like) then she won’t care. Will she? But it’s too late now. The dance is only an hour away. If she wanted to change her mind then she could have, but she didn’t. She’s brought this all upon herself.

By 8:30pm, I was starting to put the final touches to my look. I was wearing a long purple sparkly dress, with lilac shoes and soft belt. I curled my hair earlier and put it up in a loose bun. It didn’t turn out how I expected but it looked ok and I didn’t have time to change. At 8:39, I heard a knock on my door. It was Richard.

As I opened the door, he looked right up into my eyes. He was wearing a smart black suit and had pushed his hair back.

“Hi.” He said smoothly, taking my hand and bowing like in a fairy tale. At that moment I felt like I was in one to.

“Hi.” I replied, closing the door and taking his hand.

“You look amazing!” He said smiling. Then he kissed me. I suddenly felt all warm like melting butter inside. This made the night even more magical than before. I suddenly wished it would never end. Although, there was still a part of me that felt this was wrong. But I wasn’t listening.

“Thanks.” I replied, with a slight giggle. I then steadied myself and began to walk with him, hand in hand.

After we had been walking for a few minutes, I knew that I couldn’t do this. I couldn’t do it to Lucy. I was going to say something, but one look at his gorgeous face made me not want to say anything at all. By the time we reached the school, it was too late.

When we reached the hall, where the dance was being held, I caught sight of Lucy nearly instantly, standing in the middle of the floor next to Callum. She looked incredible. She was wearing a long puffy dark turquoise dress, with a silk belt with lots of diamonds on. To go with her dress she was wearing high silver shoes and a silver ringed shaped necklace with blue crystals on it. All the boys were staring at her, but I knew the only one she had her eye on.

As I turned around I saw Luna, dressed in her average clothes, by the hall doors. She didn’t come towards me or say anything. All she did was wave slightly and then just stand there. People were started to gather in crowds so I lost sight of her. The next time the sight of the doorway was clear, she was gone. I didn’t understand what had just happened, but I couldn’t concentrate her Luna right now. I had to know what was going on with Richard and Lucy.

I saw Richard standing beside me, staring at her. Then Callum saw us and started to approach. He was dressed in a similar way to Richard, in a smart black suit and hair pushed neatly back. As soon as he stood in front to me, Richard walked away, and I had a good idea about where to.

Before I could say anything to Callum, who was now standing beside me, I saw Lucy and Richard start to approach us. I saw they were holding hands again, surprise surprise!

“Hey.” Lucy said, in her normal calm and gentle voice.

“Hi.” I replied, not knowing why she was being so normal with me all of a sudden.

“Listen, about the rumor. I know it wasn’t you.” Now that I wasn’t expecting her to say. “I know it was Sammie and I know why she did it. So, I’m not mad at you anymore.” She continued.
