Silence was all Ivory was able to focus on. She heard nothing, nothing at all. The silence was so real that her ear had started ringing.
Nobody breathed as the red headed substitute teacher stood awkwardly in front of the class. Her brown eyes were shaky. Her orbs never settled to look at one thing, instead it kept moving from one student to another and from one wall to another.
Ivory didn't expect the class to be so quiet, this was vey rare and even rarer when a substitute teacher was present.
The replacement began to lean on Professor Yor's desk. She gave a weak smile to the class as she prepared herself to talk.
"I'm Professor Amie but since I don't think I even count as a professor you could all just call me Ms. Kelsie," the tall woman said loudly but not loud enough for the kids in the back of the class to properly hear her.
The woman bit her lips as she observed her students staring at her.
Chrystal who was sitting quietly all this time, a new record for her by the way, smirked as she foraged a plan in her mind to annoy the living daylights out of the substitute teacher. Chrystal twirled a single curl in her hair as she stared at Rune who was sitting a few seats in front of her on the left. She waited patiently for their eyes to meet.
Eventually, Rune turned his head to the princess. His eyes were blank while Chrystal's eyes were filled with mischief.
Rune shook his head in Chrystal's direction. He then laid his head on his desk and closed his eyes.
Chrystal frowned at the boy and stopped twirling her hair.
She looked over Zack who was sitting right next to her. He sunk himself deep into his seat, his eyes were focused on the ceiling as if they held a secret that he had to know about, maybe they actually did.
"Why are you sitting like that?" The princess whispered to the human.
Zack's eyes were still focused on the cherry red ceiling .
"What do you want?" Zack whispered, not loud enough for anyone with a normal hearing ability to be able to hear. He even almost didn't hear it himself.
Chrystal glared at the boy as she tried to figure out what Zack has just whispered. In all honesty, she heard "quest of a yellow" but she figured out that was not what Zack had just whispered to her. After a short minute, she decided to forget about Zack all together.
"I should probably sleep too, I haven't gotten enough beauty sleep last night," Chrystal recalled in her mind.
Chrystal furrowed her eyebrows as her mind also recalled the horrible dream she had last night. Chrystal was a princess and she hadn't expected a dream so savage would ever visit her mind as she peacefully sleep. Her mom always said that negativity brings bad dreams.
That is why Chrystal tried her best to give off positivity everywhere she went that day. And also some anonymous students in the school complained to the principal that Chrystal was being very un princess like and was always giving off bad vibes and the principal reported her these complaints to her a week ago.
"Pfttttt bad vibes? I'll show them how positive I really am."
"Yeah, I'll show them."
Chrystal turned her seat a full 360 and smiled as she stared at the brown eyed girl who sat right behind her.
"So, Ivory, did you have a good day today?" A smirk painted Chrystal asked.
