"give him space, he's waking up." the black haired doctor ordered his nurses when he saw the blonde boy start to shift in his sleep.

jimin groaned and brought his hand up to his head as he slowly came back to consciousness.

"jimin, please use your other arm." the man guided, slowly pulling the one he had brought up to hold his head back down to rest on his lap.

the boy looked at it in surprise, not expecting to see a plain white wrapped cast. although he knew he could definitely feel the cast, there seemed to be something else underneath it. something cold was pressed against the bare skin of his wrist in order to keep it straight and as an extra prevention from moving his arm too much.

"judging by the fact that moving your arm didn't hurt you, i'm guessing you're still under anesthetic." seokjin motioned for one of the female assistants in the room to pour the male some coffee from the machine in his office. "it's pretty early in the morning, so you should stay awake even if you're a little sleepy. i would hate for your sleeping schedule to mess up and for you to miss meals."

when the girl returned, seokjin handed the warm drink to the patient. the drowsy boy reached for it with his non hurt hand, seeing a thin wrapping of bandage covering his bruises on that one as well.

"poison."

the male's body shot up, the small styrofoam cup in his hand almost spilling the drink all over the place as he did so. his eyes scanned the room before seeing four shadows standing right behind the head place of the operation table watching him. they were whispering mainly non-coherent things, but that one word was clear.

"jimin, everything okay?" seokjin asked worried for the startled boy.

"they-i-u-uh, yes." he finally managed to stutter out.

all of the nurses left the surgery room to give jimin some time alone with the doctor. he had needed some bone reconstruction to be able to reconnect the shattered pieces before they could work on fixing his broken wrist with the cast. now, it was hours after that since seokjin wanted him to wake up on his own when he was ready.

jimin stared at the cup of coffee for a moment before taking a drink. nothing seemed to be wrong with it in the least. it just tasted like normal black coffee; extremely bitter.

when he heard a knock on the surgery room, the black haired man stood up and curiously walked towards the door. outside, a grey haired therapist stood waiting impatiently, immediately trying to push himself into the room once seokjin opened it. the older male held him back, joining him just outside in the hallway besides the door.

"is he okay?" taehyung questioned immediately, worried about the male after what they had experienced last night.

"his wrist should be okay if everything goes well. i heard he's getting released in a couple weeks, so i'm going to have to refer him to another doctor when that happens."

"maybe we should refer him to another psychiatrist too." taehyung suggested, watching the blonde male from the window on the door.

"that's not funny, tae. namjoon knows what he's doing. if the tests say there's nothing wrong then there's nothing we can do."

"but he won't even try to consider it, seokjin!" tae frowned, wanting desperately to be able to help the poor kid with whatever was wrong with him.

"namjoon said he spent all last night rechecking the tests results and the data, and there's no sign of raised dopamine levels. his d2 receptors are absolutely fine."

"you can't say this kid is fine, seokjin!" the therapist yelled at the delusional doctor. "no one does that to themselves because they're fine!"

"stick to what you learned from your own degree, taehyung! i'm appointed as his doctor and namjoon is his psychiatrist during his stay. he's not your patient, why are you even here?!"

suddenly a loud crash was heard from the operation room. the two stared at each other with wide eyes before pushing into the room to check on the blonde male. he had fallen to the ground, seemingly passed out.

"jimin?!" the doctor crouched down towards him. he pressed his ear against the boy's chest, thankfully hearing a slowed heartbeat inside.

"is he okay?" taehyung asked, looking down at the boy with a panicked expression.

"he's just unconscious. seems like he's still tired." the doctor breathed out thankfully.

he bent down to try and pick up the teenager. his arms wrapped around his small body as he lifted him up onto the surgery table. while the doctor was busy taking care and checking up on the male for any wounds he may have obtained from the fall, taehyung looked down at the ground curiously.

"this is coffee?" he kneeled down to the floor as he looked at it skeptically. "how do you pass out from being tired after immediately drinking black coffee?"

seokjin followed his eyes to see that jimin had almost drank all of the beverage, only the little bit he had left was spilled on the ground next to where he passed out. he too looked at it curiously. "i honestly don't know. it wasn't as if he was exhausted, he got about a five hour nap during the time we were working on his wrist, as well as after."

"poison."

"what is he talking about?"

the two men looked over towards the boy mumbling in his sleep. taehyung picked up the cup and smelled the liquid remaining in it. "this is just plain coffee."

"he's not showing any signs of being poisoned either." seokjin stated, knowing the affect the lethal substance should be having on the boy if he was actually given it. "did he pass out because he thought it was poison?"

"we already knew he had a hallucination last night, and now he's paranoid and delusional. wow, wonder what those are key symptoms of." the sarcasm was practically dripping off of taehyung's words, but it only managed to piss seokjin off more than he initially did outside of the room.

"go back to your own patients and leave jimin alone." seokjin spoke harshly, having enough of the younger male. "the only thing wrong with jimin is his suicidal tendencies, which is why he's here. we're not going to treat him for anything other than his depression."
