darkness. that's all there was. that's all that surrounded him.

there were no sounds from the outside available to get into the confinement room. there wasn't even the smallest ray of light to at least give jimin some sort of idea about where he was sitting down right now.

he knew it was in one of the corners, but being inside of this pitch black room made him lose any sense of direction he had in just seconds. he couldn't even remember which padded wall the door was on at this point.

it was so dark inside of the confinement room that he couldn't even see his own hand when it was waving only centimeters away from his face. it was too dark for his vision to adjust to it. at times he would even grow confused about whether or not his eyes were open. he was sure his pupils were a dilated mess, trying to make out anything they could in the endless abyss of darkness.

the purpose of this room was to punish patients who try to physically assault others while admitted during their stay here. it was kind of like how penitentiaries threw dangerous criminals inside of the hole -better known as solitary confinement- for a few days to learn their lesson about following prison rules. it was basically the same thing.

jimin lifted his head up, opening his eyes to look around the room despite being completely blind. namjoon had said he would be watching him from the cameras if something were to happen. he honestly wondered if that was true or not.

what if the psychiatrist had just said that so he wouldn't feel as scared about having to stay in here for almost an entire day all by himself? then would he actually be stuck in here for eighteen hours?

occasionally jimin had thought he was actually alone in here- he couldn't see anything so it was easy to forget about the black figures that always followed him. unfortunately though, he could still hear them whispering. since he couldn't see anything, he felt as though his other senses were heightened. it made them sound three times as loud.

it had probably only been about three or four hours at this point, but to jimin, it felt like a lifetime. he was beyond disoriented by the darkness and he felt as though this would never end.

he was laying down somewhere in the confinement room in a fetal position. his hands were up resting against his head, tugging harshly at his blonde locks because of a pulsating headache he's had for the past hour and a half thanks to the nonstop muffled voices all around him.

he was getting sick of it at this point. his brain was starting to think that it would be easier to just bite into his wrist and not let ago until he bled out instead of having to listen to the noises of the shadow figures anymore.

"shut up." he huffed out angrily, quieting down the voices all talking over one another.

they only paused for just a moment before continuing on.

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

"wah!"

immediately cries replaced their incoherent chatters, becoming louder and louder with each whine. jimin's head felt like it was going to explode from all the noise. he didn't even care about jungkook anymore. he just wanted it all to stop.

jimin sat up on the place he was just laying, his frustration getting the better of him.

"shut up! shut up! shut up!" with each scream of the words, the small petite male slapped his hands against his head. "shut up! shut up! shut up! shut up! shut-"

jimin's hands were roughly grasped and pulled away just as they were about to slam back down against the sides of his head. his voice cut off on the end with a gasp, frustrated tears streaming down his cheeks and falling heavily from his eyelashes because of the intense pain he was just putting himself through with the harsh slaps. it didn't help his broken wrist in the absolute least. it just made it throb from underneath it's cast.

even with the tight grip on his hands, his pulsating head, and now the antagonizing pain searing through his left forearm, he felt a little bit better. now the never ending talking was gone. now he could hear something other than a million voices all speaking over each other and mixing together.

"please just leave me alone for a few minutes." the blonde sobbed, not even fighting against the hold on him. "just let me enjoy the silence for a little bit."

the grip on him released, no longer holding his hands back. he laid back down, silently crying onto the padded flooring his head was rested against as if it were a pillow.

as some choked out cries left jimin's mouth he felt some movement near him. another body laid down in front of him, a strong arm moving to wrap around his waist.

he opened his eyes as he felt a cold breath against his lips. he couldn't see anything, but he knew he was right there.

a quiet wheeze left jimin's mouth as his cries got caught in his throat, the arm around his waist instantly lifting up towards his face. a soft hand gently caressed his cheek, wiping away his tears. jungkook was acting as if jimin was some fragile little doll he had to be careful with at this moment.

it would have been charming if jimin didn't already know the reason behind his kindness.

"stop thinking about killing yourself." the voice spoke out quietly to prevent the smaller's headache from getting worse. "if you bite your wrist and bleed out then i'll never see you again." the hand moved up yet again, this time pushing back a little bit of his fringe. "it would hurt, jimin."

"it would only hurt because it would kill you too, jungkook." the crying boy whispered back, his soft brown irises flooding with tears as they stared off a little bit in front of him into the darkness. "you don't care about me."

the brunette male stayed quiet at the words- he had no reason to argue against the truth.

at the lack of response jimin turned around, moving away just enough so he would be out of reach from the large hand. even if jungkook wasn't real and jimin knew that, it still hurt.
