"Gaia?" Biana's voice echoes faintly throughout the room. "Can you come down here?"
"Sure!" the thirteen-year-old exclaims, running down the stairs. About a week or two had passed, and Gaia and Emrys had spent a few days together at either the resiple or Dracovern- the most recent time being at Dracovern. Smiling, Gaia jumps off of the third to last step so she can make her way to the brunette faster. "What do you need to talk about?"
"Since you're an elf," Biana begins, looking up at Gaia. She pats the seat softly next to her, signalling Gaia to sit besides the teal-eyed woman. Once Gaia does so, Biana continues. "You'll have to go to an elvin school..."
Gaia's eyes widen, but she knows that she shouldn't be too surprised- elves weren't this advanced and intelligent at birth... or were they? That was a question for another day. "What's the school called?" Gaia asks, realizing that she's been quiet for longer than normal.
"Foxfire," Biana replies, smiling softly. And although she doesn't want to admit it, Gaia immediately imagined a fox made of fire being their school mascot. They may not have school mascots, Gaia thinks to herself. They most likely don't.
Gaia's suddenly brought back to reality when Biana says, "Emrys goes to Foxfire as well, and he's a Level 4. You'll be joining as a Level 3, but he can help you get used to it." The thirteen-year-old must've been smiling widely at the fact that she'll know someone there because she hears Biana giggling. "I can see that you're not against it..!"
"Is it bad?" Gaia asks, her eyes widening.
Biana shakes her head almost instantaneously. "Definitely not!" she says. "Those were the best years of my life! I wouldn't have met Dex and the others there!"
The thirteen-year-old smiles. "Hopefully I have good years there too!" she says, nervousness and excitement swirling together to create the mess that is her mind at the moment.
"You definitely will!" Biana agrees. Smiling, she looks at the clock before her eyes widen. "Oh no!" she suddenly exclaims. "I scheduled your meeting for 12:30!"
"What time is it?" Gaia asks, raising an eyebrow.
"12:29!" she shouts, grabbing Gaia's hand. The brunette then stands in front of the Leapmaster and announces loudly, "Foxfire!"
And then the light takes them away.
...
"Magnate Leto," Biana breathes out after they enter the glass pyramid that "Magnate Leto" called his office. "I'm so, so sorry that we're late- we lost track of time..!"
The man in the chair in front of them, however, merely smiles at the two of them. "No need to apologize, Ms. Vacker. Time is not of the essence now." And Gaia doesn't miss how Biana manages to smile brighter at that.
"Anyways," Biana says happily. Gently pushing Gaia forward, Biana announces, "Meet Gaia Asmer! Gaia, this is Magnate Leto. He's what you would call 'the principal' in human terms."
"So this is the esteemed student I've been wanting to meet," Magnate Leto comments, cracking a grin. He stands up to properly shake Gaia's hand. Once he sits back down again, he clears his throat before saying, "You're starting a Level Three, if I'm not to be mistaken."
Gaia nods. "That's what Biana told me," she admits.
Magnate Leto nods. "I'll have to give you your cloak, which is in other words, a mandatory school uniform here at Foxfire." He then stands up again, but this time, he hands Gaia an amber-coloured cape. "It's the colour of a mastodon," he explains, seating himself yet again.
