She was like the moon. Part of her was always hidden away.

Two figures arrived in front of the Burrow with a loud pop. One had caramel colored skin with jet-black hair and startling green eyes. The other was pale and sported shoulder-length, blonde hair. Sonya, the blonde girl, was Elizabeth's younger muggle cousin. Elizabeth, the girl with black hair who was often called Beth, was gazing around their surroundings in excitement. Sonya was clutching her older cousin's hand tightly, her mouth pressed into a tight line. It was a few minutes before the motion sick girl stiffly released Beth's hand, her fingers trembling. Beth knocked on the door, announcing her arrival to the entire house. Remembering the item in her hand, Sonya released their portkey, which was an old rusty can. The label was faded but you could still pick out the words 'green beans'.

Sonya swayed on her feet, a bit pale from traveling a wizarding way. It was not recommended for Muggles but the Ministry gave their stamp of approval. Sonya was only a few years younger then Beth, around fourteen. She looked older than she really was, which had its perks. A red haired girl opened the door, her brown eyes bright as she recognized the two girls on her porch. "Hey Ginny." Sonya moaned, her face turning green as she attempted not to vomit. She obviously lost the battle with her stomach as she staggered away and puked her lunch up beside the house. Both girls wrinkled their noses at the unpleasant noise of her retching.

For a moment, Ginny and Beth watched solemnly the girl. When Sonya raised her head and gave them a shaky thumbs up, Ginny's mouth broke into a wide grin. "Beth!" She squealed and tackled Beth into a hug that crushed her lungs. For a moment, Beth felt as if her oxygen was cut off. It probably was; the Weasley had a tight grip on her.

Once she was allowed to breath again, Beth let out a tinkling laugh and hugged her friend back just as tightly. Her green eyes lifted and scanned the area behind her friend. Beth felt disappointment in her mouth when she did not see who she had hoped; her twin brother, Harry Potter. As Ginny pulled away from the hug, Beth plastered a beaming smile onto her face, attempting to hide the crushed hope she felt. Without Ginny knowing, Beth reached out mentally for her brother. There was nothing but darkness where his emotions were normally brewing. She frowned, unable to hide her worry. Was he okay?

Mrs. Weasley appeared from behind her daughter, a mirrored, happy expression on her face as she saw the newest girls. "Oh hello my dears! Come in. Come in." She said brightly, ushering them inside her home. She reminded Beth of a mother hen. "Harry just arrived a few hours ago-"

Without thinking, Beth let go of her trunk, causing it to hit the ground with a thump, and rushed towards the stairs. Of course. He's sleeping. She felt guilt hit her as soon as she realized she'd left Sonya but that quickly disappeared as a gangly, red headed boy burst out of his room, looking just as excited as she felt. Besides, Beth knew that her cousin was in good hands with Mrs. Weasley. Ginny's door swung open suddenly and a very annoyed Hermione peered out, her dark brown hair frizzed with sleep. "Ron!" she bellowed, her eyes narrowed to show her annoyance. The dark-skinned girl and the Potter girl weren't the best of friends, to be frank. Beth found Hermione quite annoying at times and with her short temper, the Potter often fought with her. Hermione thought Beth was rude and stayed out of her way, despite her friendship with Beth's twin. They weren't enemies but weren't friends; they tolerated each other for the sake of others.

Ron paid no attention to Hermione's scolding as he headed towards Fred's and George's room, too caught up in his own thoughts. He didn't even notice Beth was there, which was surprising; in his third year, Ron formed a crush on Beth. Nobody knew if he still had one or if it was faded; Beth didn't bother to ask because she didn't care. Beth followed him instinctively, knowing he probably had an idea of where her twin brother was. "Beth!" Hermione greeted her as she realized she wasn't alone; her smile a bit humorless as they followed Ron, "how have you been?" For once, the atmosphere between them wasn't hostile. Beth found it comforting.
