This look. This is the look that breaks my heart all the time I see him like this it breaks my heart. This is the look all veterans have. It's the look of memories. It's the look of thinking and wishing that maybe if he did something else than everything wouldn't have happened. Maybe he would be happy. Maybe it wouldn't hurt so much. Maybe he could save his friends and see them one last time. People don't understand how bad the war actually messes with people. It leaves scars that will never heal and the memories that means them behind. This is the face that I know will never go away because the memories can't go away and unfortunately I will never be able to change it.
