Chapter 4

Y/n's Pov

"I'm guessing we don't have to introduce ourselves then."  I look up to see Finn Wolfhard smiling humorously at me. Why does he have to be so good looking? "Y-yeah I guess we don't." I laugh nervously. "Aw don't feel nervous, it's not like we're aliens." Finn says. "Or are we?" Caleb adds with a quizzical look on his face. I laugh lightly and say, "sorry it's just not something I ever though I would be doing!" "It's ok," Caleb says, "I'm sure we'll all be great friends in no time!" "Thanks guys." I say feeling calmer now. "I'd love to talk more but I'm honestly super tired so I think I'm just gonna head to bed." "Oh of course! Let me show you to your room." I accept Gaten's offer and follow him out of the basement not before I said goodnight to everyone else.

Gaten takes me back into the hallway and to the front door where I left my bags. I grab them and we head upstairs. At the top of the stairs is a hallway with four doors on either side. "The last room on the right is your room, you're sharing with Millie. I hope you don't mind it's just Sadie drew the longest straw and got a room to herself. If you need me my room is the one opposite to yours." "Ok thanks so much Gaten, tell Millie not to worry about waking me when she come up to get ready for bed, I sleep like a log!" He laughs slightly at my last comment and says "ok I will, goodnight Y/n." I reply with a simple goodnight and head to my room.

It's quite a big room with two full queen size beds next to each other. I put my bags next to the bed that is unmade and put my bed sheets on it. I quickly put on my pyjamas and crawl into bed, drifting off into a deep sleep.

Gaten's Pov

I make my way down to the basement and see everyone whispering about something so I jump onto one of the couches next to Noah. "What are you guys talking about?" "Y/n." They all say in unison. "Oh ok. What do you guys think of her?" Noah and Sadie are the first to speak. "I think she's super nice." Sadie says. "Yeah I think we will be great friends." Noah adds. "Yeah she seems like a really cool person," Caleb says, "She'll just slide right in with the group." "Yeah, me too," I say, "What do you think Millie?" "Oh I agree with you guys, I'm really excited to have another girl in the house! But why don't you ask Finn what he thinks of Y/n, he seems pretty keen to get to know her." Millie stares mischievously at Finn. Finn just looks down and blushes. "Aw come on Finn, just admit it. You like Y/n." I look over at Finn who is still looking down in embarrassment.

Finn's Pov

I keep my head down because I'm to embarrassed to look at anyone. I know if I look up they are just gonna tease me more so I keep my head down and leave them with their theories. Ok, ok I won't deny that I think Y/n is kinda cute but I don't have a crush on her! I've only known her for less than an hour and I'm pretty sure you can't develop a crush for someone in that time. I slowly lift me head up to see that everyone has gathered in a circle around me, waiting patiently (unless your name is Noah) for my answer. "Guys, relax I don't have a crush on Y/n. I've only know her for less than an hour so just chill guys. Now if you will excuse me, I'm following Y/n's lead and heading to bed early. Night guys." Everyone say goodnight and I get up and walk to the stairs. I'm about to go up the stairs when I hear Millie say "Whatever you say Finny." I turn around and flip her off before making my way upstairs and to my bedroom.

I wake up to the sound of the bedroom door closing and I roll over to see Noah walking in to our room. "Oh shit, sorry I didn't mean to wake you just go back to sleep." "It's fine, I'm awake now anyway." So I sit up and wait for Noah to get changed and get into his bed. We sit on our beds facing each other talking about random shit for a while before he brings up something that I knew I couldn't avoid. "Hey Finn, you know you can tell me anything right?" "Yeah..." "So will you tell me truthfully, do you like Y/n?" I sigh and then look back up at him. "I mean no, I don't. I've known her for such a small amount of time and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to develop a crush on someone in such a small amount of time. I do think that she's kind of cute though and maybe I might have feelings for her in the near future?" "OMG REALLY?" Noah whisper-screams. He grabs his phone and starts texting someone. I soon realize that the only person in this moment that he would be texting is Millie and knowing her she will tell Y/n as soon as she gets the message so I lunge for the phone but Noah scoots away, runs towards the bathroom and locks the door. "Fuck." I curse under my breath.

Noah finally emerges from the bathroom with a massive grin on his face, giggling evilly. "You little shit." I say before sliding back into bed. He attempts to do the same but falls over and turns into a giggling mess on the floor. He eventually pulls himself together and hops into bed with a smug look on his face looking extremely pleased with himself. I turn over and eventually fall back into a peaceful sleep.
