"Hey Kate, I heard that Kendall's out. Is it true?" Marine asked, her eyes darting around in fear. Her pupil widened slightly when she stared into Kate's eyes.

It was lunchtime, all of them were sitting at their usual table. Rachel, Daniel, Finn, Ariel and Boris all turned their heads looking at Kate with the same fear and worry evident in their eyes.

Kate looked at all of them and smiled, biting down the sandwich in her hands "Nope, it's not true, so don't worry." When all of them didn't smile back, Kate gave them an assuring look. The one that always worked.

She knew she can never let them know.
They must never know that Kendall is back. No matter what.

All six of them seemed to trust her as they heaved a sigh of relief and went back gossiping at the usual stuff. Laughing at all the nonsense and jeering at the people that they deemed are misfits.
That is what it is like for them every single day.

This is what it is like, being in the "popular" crowd.

♂Daniel's POV♂

Daniel snaked his hand around Kate's waist hugging her close, nuzzling her neck. Displaying their relationship publicly. His dark brown shaggy hair was almost long enough to be bun up. His deep green eyes stared straight into Kate's blue ones, trying to seek out what is bothering her.

As always though, he saw none. Nothing in those empty gaze.

"Get a room Daniel." Boris said when he saw Daniel moving his lips towards Kate's. It was an attempt to break her off her trance she seem to be having lately. Daniel knew this was the only way he could get her attention.

Boris as usual, just have to get in the way.

Daniel loathed Boris.

It wasn't because he is handsome, or because he gets all the girls, it wasn't even because he beats him in every area. Sports, Science and heck! Even Mathematics, you'd think a stereotypical jock like him would score poorly for their results, but no, he just excels in everything.

However, it has nothing to do with that. He would never just hate on someone due to jealousy. He only hated him because he had convinced everyone to take Kendall down. Kendall is Daniel's best friend! At least he was. He was their leader too! And now, it is Boris the jerk!

Reluctantly, he removed himself from his girl and forced a smile. One day, he is going to make Boris pay. For taking away Kendall's place and for taking away his girl's smile. But for now, he will wait and abide to all his orders. Just for now...

♔Boris's POV♔

Boris smirked satisfied when he saw Daniel obeying his command. He felt powerful. Dominating.

He combed back his dirty blonde hair from his face with his hands. His piercing grey blue eyes glimmered under the natural light. He is like the Alpha male in the group. No. He is The Alpha Male. Everyone listens to him. He can get whoever he wants with a snap of his finger and make everyone listen to him, bow down to him.

He loves that feeling and he is never giving it up.

Even if Kendall's back.

There is just this one person though. This one person he could never get. The only person he ever wanted. The only person he ever desired.
