Chapter 7: Shh... Twisted Note

Stupid. He is a Stupid Idiot!

Bastard.

I hate him. Why must he do this to me? Can't he see whatever I did it is all for him? Why? Why is he so stupid? Why is he still caring for her? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?!!!!!!

1318 hours

"Are we all going to just sit here and do nothing?" Rachel asked irritated. The moment Boris walked out her whole facial expression changed. All the nice, cool and calm Rachel, gone. Poof, disappear into thin air.

"You guys need to listen to me now since that irrational bull head is gone to find his precious airhead girlfriend." Rachel said standing up, sarcasm dripped in her voice. "So, I think the killer isn't one of us really. Look at the ways he killed Finn and Ariel. It is horrendous. I doubt anyone of us is capable of such gruesome deeds. I doubt anyone of us will even kill anyone."

Daniel held on tightly to Kate's hands the moment Rachel finished her sentence. She stared hard at her boyfriend. There is something wrong about Daniel. Kate could feel it in her guts. Something wasn't right.

"I agree with Rachel on this. Maybe I was really wrong about the killer being one of us. The killer might be someone from the outside who knows us really well." Kendall cuts in breaking Kate away from that weird feeling she was having. "Who do you think it is then? Nobody knows us more than us. The only people we hang out with is...is only us..." Kate murmured involuntarily.

That made everyone scratched their heads hard...

1400hours

"So are you saying I should really test that theory of yours out. Even in this situation?" Kate asked looking at Rachel. She was asking her to do that again. Can't she see that this is no time for such matters. "Yes Kate. Trust me. This is important. If you do that we might just find out who the killer is...." Rachel eyes sparkled this time round. She just needed this theory to be tested out and everything will come to an end then.

Everything.

"I'm saying Daniel we should all stay together in one place so the killer will not be able to attack us that easily." Kendall said insisting on the same point over and over again. "I am saying this Kendall. Have you watched the movie Scream? No matter how many people stays together, how many people you have at your place there is still a loophole, a way for the murderer to get to you." Daniel reasoned out in frustration.

Kendall took a long look at Daniel. He seemed different, easily frustrated and and... There is just this something that Kendall could not quite place his finger onto. Something... Wrong about Daniel.

"So what are you guys talking about over there?" Rachel asked smiling, her usual pretence brightness back onto her face. "What are you girls talking back there then?" Kendall asked back. Just when Kate was about to answer, Rachel cuts in "We are just talking about ordering Pizza cause I am starving! Who want some?" "Oh I do!" Kendall shouted like a three years old while Kate laughed at Kendall's failed attempt to snatch away the phone in Rachel's hand.

At one corner all alone, Daniel was looking at his best friends and lover. His eyes hard and cold.

1430hours

"Damn the pizza is taking forever to arrive!" Rachel complained. "Yeah I am getting really hungry... You guys want some chips? I will go grab some." Kate said, standing up which was when the door bell rang. "Guess we don't need the chips Kathy." Kendall said standing up as well.

"Let me get it." Daniel said rushing towards the door. "Nuh-uh I am getting the pizza first!" Rachel said rushing to get the door as well. Kate and Kendall watched both of them with slight amusement as they collided onto one another. While Daniel was still stunned in the position, Rachel reached her hand up and turned the knob.

The delivery man was looking at them awkwardly as Rachel jumped up in victory pushing Daniel down in the process. "Yes! I got the Pizza first!" Daniel got up hastily and watched Rachel wearily. She is getting way too hyper for her character. There is something off about her. Daniel could feel it in his gut. "Hey Danny boy, pay up. You lost, you treat!"

With that everyone disappeared into the kitchen leaving him there still stoned and the delivery man still looking awkward and puzzled.

"Here let me give you a hand." Kate smiled, taking a box of pizza from Rachel. There was a white piece of something sticking out of the box. "What is this?" Kate murmured, pulling it out of the box as Daniel walked in with his wallet. "What's wrong Kate?" he asked, his face full of concern. Rachel was already stuffing a piece of pizza into her mouth.

"What's what?" Kendall asked quizzically grabbing a piece of pizza as well.

It was a piece of paper folded nicely in half.

Kate looked at everyone in the room and said softly "Guys, I think someone just sent us a note..." Rachel and Kendall immediately dropped their pizza and went to Kate's side while Daniel leaned in next to Kate, holding her in his arm.
