When Sunday morning came, waking up to my alarm I hit the snooze but laid there not really wanting to get out. I was hesitating at this point but I knew I had to get out. Planting my feet on the cold hard floor, I shuffled to the bathroom, after washing I tripped over the rug.

"Stupid rug" I said groggy. Shuffling into my room, standing in the entrance glaring around everything was still blurry. Blinking a few times "ugh" I groaned. "Come on Mona" I heard mom from the stairway. "Uh, why ?" I turned and walked to the banister.

"Just because you're up that's why" she said walking down the stairs. Turning around walking back into my room, after making the bed up I went into my closet to pick out clothes, finding a grey white plaid shirt that was clean I slid it on over a white tank top.

I knew half of my jeans were dirty, finding one dark colored jeans I slid them on as well. I knew they were the only clean ones. Who else smells their clothes just to make sure their clean ? I know I do, I even know when they're clean. Mom uses fresh linen detergent.

After eating some yogurt and toast "any plans for today ?" dad asked. "I have no idea" I told him. "You'll think of something" he said staring at the newspaper. "What about your friends ?" mom asked moving around the kitchen.

"Define friends ?"I asked. "That boy, erm what's his name ?" she asked turning to me. "Hayden ?" I asked. "Yes, what about that other boy you liked ?" she asked setting her coffee cup down. "I wouldn't know honestly" I looked away. "Oh ok" she said.

"Well as your father just said, you'll think of something"mom said. "True" I said. Leaving them, I headed back into my room, grabbing the book off my side table. Plopping onto my bed, I was reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies one of my many favorites.

After an hour of reading, I finished the book. Glancing at my bookshelf, thinking I've read about all of them so many times, I might just go to the bookstore and browse. Sliding my feet into my boots and grabbing my book bag I left the house.

Grabbing my bike I pedaled off. Merging onto Valley Road, crossing over the street and going down on Opal Avenue, people were walking around going in and out of the shops. Slowing down I got off and locked my bike's wheel, then set my bag down.

"Welcome how can I help you ?" a guy asked me as I walked in. "Just going to browse" I told him. "Well if there's anything you need just call me" he said then went to help a costumer. Browsing the shelves, I came across a book called Love and Leftovers.

Reading the summery it sounded good, I did put it down for a min to read another book as I saw in the corner of my eye a girl picking up that book and reading the back of it. "Is this yours ?" the girl asked. "Uh..." thinking fast. "If you don't..." she started.

"Yeah sorry I was going to get it" I said even though I didn't want it, but it did sound good. She smiled and turned away, grabbing it again I knew I had to get it now. Have you ever had that happened to you where you maybe looking at a book and someone else looks at it ?

After finding six books, bringing them to the counter "wow read much ?" the guy asked. I stared at him sideways, "I'm joking you know" he said. "I thought so, and yes I do read a lot" I told him. "Nice, I wouldn't see you as a book nerd" he said. "Glasses ?" I pointed at them.

"Maybe, but your glasses are cool" he said. My glasses are cool ? "Need a bag ?" he asked. "No thanks" I said. "Wait your going to carry them, all six books ?" he asked wide eyed. "Would you like to know" I said paying him the cash.

I grabbed all the books, walking to the door I glanced back as he watched me slide out the door. I knew he'd still be watching me, grabbing my bike and sliding on, seeing him standing at the glass window. I picked up my book bag and dropped them in.
