The silence

~Luna's perpective~

Ask all the questions I want If it were that we would be here all night but as weird trying to grasp my head around all this. A vampire like in movies and books but real and not just that but Star is one and yet here I am sitting next to her not scared one bit why? Is it that there's something wrong with me but no matter what I feel safe near her but also a bit scared of what she was. I'm just lost and confused in my head but still can't help but need her as much as it seems she needs me. She looked scared back there when it was me that should be scared not her yet she was "hello what planet are you on?" Star said snapping me out of my trance "how long where you umm this way?" I responded with the question that came into my head along with another one "how old are you?". She laughed a bit before answering "I'm 17 years old and I've been this for my whole life or what of my life I remember" "what do you mean by what you remember?" I asked looking at her "I woke up one night in the middle of nowhere in the woods 10 and confused as to where I was all I remembered was my name and that's how far my memory goes back". "wow" the thought of going through that would be hell but before I could ask my next question when I heard the door open and close as someone walked into the house. I stand up and look at Star "stay here I'm gonna see who it is" I said before opening the door and slowly walking down the stairs careful not to make any noise. Whoever it was, was in the kitchen going through my fridge "hey who are you and what the hell are you doing in the house!" I almost yelled at the person as whoever they were as they jumped back and turned around to face me. "Maze?" I asked dumbly looking at my sister standing there holding an apple and water bottle  "Luna? what are you doing here?" she asked looking at me confused as to why I'm not at school "I should ask you the same question," I said trying to avoid the question, "I asked first Luna, I knew something was up when the door was unlocked so what are you doing here when you should be I don't know at school?" I tried to come up with a reasonable explanation but came up blank  "I..umm" I tried but couldn't think of anything else "You what? Luna your first day back and your skipping already". I looked down at my socks that were a bright blue with some green and not wanting to look at my sister " What I saw and..and  I just couldn't" I looked back up at my sister hoping that my excuse was enough to please her and stop asking questions about it. Maze sighed "I get it what you saw was terrible but you have to eventually go there and just look past it" "but-" I tried to protest but Maze cut me off "Though weren't you in a happy mood today excited to go back and all?" "I was but when I was there I got scared and felt sick," I said giving her a look that was begging for her to just drop it and let me go back upstairs "fine I'll keep my mouth shut about this and let it go for now". Maze walked away and into the living room and sat down onto the couch turning on the tv probably to watch pretty little liers a show I never got into and didn't really like no matter how many times she begged me to watch it with her I never did. Walking back up the stairs to my room Star was sitting on my bed looking at a photo of me and my family at Vegas for a trip last year, she looked up at me and put the photo back on the table next to my bed  "so" she said looking at me "It was just my sister maze" I responded sitting down next to her.  We talked for a while about nothing in particular since I didn't want to talk about her being what she was until my mom called me down and I looked at the clock on the wall reading the time 4:27pm "Shit, I got to go" Star said looking at the clock as well getting up and heading for the door as I followed her down the stairs to where my mom was standing there not looking happy "I umm should go now so see you tomorrow ya?" Star said clearly able to see my moms expression and knowing she should leave "ya see you" I forced myself to say as she walked out and closed the door behind her leaving me with my very angry looking mother "heeey mom" I said adding a small smile after. "The school called saying that you were not there and just vanished but your sister told me why you left" I felt relaxed at that "but?" I asked knowing there was more to it "You should have told me not the school!" she almost yelled at me. "sorry" I said in a small voice looking back at my feet avoiding my moms gaze before noticing that dad wasn't there "where's dad?" I asked trying to change the subject "work late" she said not changing her tone or anger and disappointment "sorry" I said again. "Just don't do it again," She said before walking into the kitchen to start making dinner "we'll have a talk later Luna" she yelled from the kitchen "ok, I'll be in my room" I yelled back before walking upstairs and into my room closing the door behind me and going to my computer to watch some youtube to keep my mind off everything. She killed someone and is a vampire jeez what have I gotten into. I opened my computer and went straight to youtube and want to my subscriptions to see if there was anything interesting to watch and just clicked on a random video by some youtuber I have never heard of and put on my headphones and began to watch it. I finished the video and looked at the time 7:14 pm I should go down for dinner now I thought as I shut down my computer and got up heading down into the dining room where everybody was already sitting down as spaghetti was in the middle of the table. I sat down after grabbing my plate and putting some food on it as well as a can of coke and began to eat the food on my plate. Nobody talked during the meal which was weird since they always do but tonight they were silent as I was too just eating and not talking to each other. I never liked silence It was always painful in a way I could never understand. I excused myself from the table and walked to the kitchen and put my plate away. I headed upstairs and went to get a shower and stepped into the shower turning the water on as the warm water ran down my body. Finishing my shower I got out and dried myself of and  put a random shirt on as well as track pants before walking back to my room the shower helped me relax as I walked to my room my mom was sitting on my bed and looked up at me when I walked in "what are you doing in here?" I asked looking confused at her "we need to talk dear please sit down". I put my clothes in the laundry basket before walking over to her and sitting next to her "Let's talk about what happened when you fainted those couple times last week and the time before" I was hoping we wouldn't have to talk about what happened the first time they told me It was normal and nothing to worry about but it happened again 3 times during the week off It would be a random nightmare at night or when watching tv with my brother. "I think we should see a doctor about this I'm really concerned now about what's going on with you" she placed a hand on my leg and gave me a comforting look "ok" I said looking at her. "ok now get some sleep your going to school tomorrow and please if you can't handle it just call me and I'll pick you up ok?" "ok," I said as she walked out of my room and closed the door. I got up and turned off my light before crawling in my bed and closing my eyes to sleep.
