Little lies, violet eyes, and breaking hearts- Poetic Justice

Christelle's POV

FINALLY! The school day was done. My detention done, and damn it was long And I could go home, eat and pass out. I plugged my earphones in and jammed up the volume of Rihanna's and Eminem‎'s Love The Way You Lie. I told Lauren i'd walk today cause I wanted to be alone. She said nothing, but she promised to come by later. I frowned. Something is troubling her and I hope she tells me when she comes over.

I waited for all the students to go because I aint gonna get pushed by sweaty hormonal teenagers. I put my hoodie up, hiding my face from the universe for a few minutes, and walked leisurely out. I bobbed my head to Eminems sincere booming, heart felt words. He rapped with passion. One of my favourite rappers ever. He was the best.

Some one grabbed my hand. On instinct I turned, grabbed the hand, twisted it around so the suspect turned, and I kneed him in the back. The suspect groaned and dropped, rolling onto his front. Grey eyes glared up at me. Oh shit. I yanked my earphones out, and stared disbelievingly down at Sean. "Are you following me?" I demanded, not even bothering to help him, or ask if he was okay.

He groaned again, struggling up. "You are a sight to follow, bella. And god, I would love to follow you to bed," He manages to say. My heart fluttered but I cut the wings and shoved it back. No, you will listen to me, stupid heart. I rolled my eyes at his line.

I grabbed his hand and hauled him up, he moaned in pain. "What are you? A secret wrestler or something?" he asks, twisting his back, and breaking a few muscles. I raised a brow at him, his dumb good looks and low hot voice. Stop it, Chris! Bad girl!

I smirked at him, his eyes straying to my lips, which I blatantly ignored. "Its called defend. Im surprised you actually went down." I said distastefully, turning and walking away from him. I heard his snort of doubt. "Where are you going?" he asks, catching up and walking along side me.

"And to defend myself, I was caught off guard." He says, I shrugged. "Im walking home, and you would be weak if a girl could catch you off guard. You should always be aware of your surroundings." I advised. I heard his sigh, "I usually am, but with you....its all gone." He mumbles, mostly to himself. I wanted to melt so bad, but I held myself together like I normally did during the past 13 years.

I said nothing, ignoring him. Hes bad for you, Chris. Dont listen to him, Chris. He doesnt need you, Chris. Hes just a playboy with no heart, Chris. Dont do this to yourself, Chris. He would break your heart without a single thought. He already did. I winced.

Memories daring to be played from the past. His lips on her, his hands in her hair, his lips on her neck, her hands in his shirt, his lips on hers, her hands in his hair....his body on hers......I gasped, irresistible pain shooting straight through an already fragile heart. I cant do this.

"Bella? Are you okay? Is something hurting you?" Gray, concerned eyes swam in my vision. I stopped walking. Dont believe him, Chris. Dont. I stared into his eyes. How can I believe you...

"Christelle! You're worrying me. Are you okay? Do you need to sit down or something? Water?" He asks, grabbing my shoulders and kind of shaking me. I closed my eyes, taking a massive deep breath, concentrating on my mask to the world so I can hide behind. You can do this, Chris. You can.

I shrugged out of his hands and opened my eyes to his searching gaze. I nodded,

"Im fine."

And that was the biggest lie i've ever told any one. Even to myself. But it would have to do for now. Because I was counting on it to be true.
