#22 Society

They welcomed me with open arms,
Into the place called society,
Where you are forced to smile each day,
And fill yourself with anxiety.

But don't get the wrong idea,
You are free to be whatever you want,
As long as it is what they call right,
And follow every rule that they flaunt.

And you can wear whatever you want,
And make your hair as you please,
But don't forget the they pick the clothes,
And you have to fit in, no matter how much you have to squeeze.

And if you find people talking about you,
Don't worry it's their job,
For you to feel comfortably distressed,
They'd do anything, even if your happiness they have to rob.

And you won't ever be discriminated against,
Unless you're alive and breathing,
Cause dead people hold no meaning here,
After all, what's the fun in stabbing a heart that's not beating.

So don't worry, my friend,
I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay,
Cause just like me you will be,
Another pawn in their game to play.
