"I'm getting another Chanel bag for my eighteenth birthday--but that's not for a few months away," Keri Hastings pouted to her best friend Rebecca Roberts.

Keri flicked her hair (that was originally brown, but dyed auburn) off of her shoulder. Her dainty fingers smoothened her coral dress from Saks Fifth Avenue.

"But anyway," she started, taking a sip of her smoothie. "How's it going with John? You gonna dump him yet?" A smirk slid onto her thin pale lips that were covered with lipstick. Keri's high cheekbones became even more prominent with her smile.

Rebecca let out a short laugh. "Soon. I just need to get him to finish doing my summer work for English. After that I won't even remember his name." The two girls giggled away at Rebecca's comment. Keri and Rebecca were sitting at a food court in a high end mall, gossiping away. "Which reminds me," Rebecca remembered. "Is James still trying to hook up with you?"

"Please," Keri huffed, confidently. "I have that boy wrapped around my finger. He's not just trying to hook up with me--he'd do anything for me." Her slender body was angled in an upright position, her posture tall and strong. "I have him right where I want him."

The two girls decided to go back to Rebecca's house after they were done their drinks. Getting out of Keri's brand new black Mercedes convertible, the two friends entered Rebecca's large home.

"Okay," Rebecca said as both girls walked through the narrow hallway. Their heels made tapping sounds against the wood. "If you were to have children, what would you name them?" She continued their conversation from the car.

"If it was a boy, Cameron. And if it was a girl, Cammie," Keri answered. "What about you?"

"Michael and Amanda," Rebecca flicked a piece of her curly black hair off of her shoulder. She sashayed down the hall until reaching the kitchen.

Keri couldn't help but to look at Rebecca's hourglass figure. Keri had secretly wanted Rebecca's body instead of her tall and thin one. Everyone had always insisted on Keri becoming a model, not only because of her alluring appearance, but because of her physique.

"Hey, ladies," Rebecca's older brother, Jason, greeted when he saw the two. Jason was the college frat boy type. "Hello, Keri," his eyelid fell into a wink as a smirk appeared.

"Hey, Jase," Keri gave a small wave and a wide grin. Rebecca walked to the fridge and grabbed two drinks.

"Cute dress. New?" His eyes traveled up and down her body.

"How'd you know?" Her head tilted to the side, in a flirting manner. Rebecca handed Keri a drink and rolled her dark eyes. Jason and Keri flirting was nothing new to Rebecca; it had been going on since the two girls had become friends in eigth grade.

Rebecca's cat brushed passed Keri, making her shiver. She hated cats. She thought they were psychotic animals that spawned from hell all because of a past incident from kindergarten. It involved her being attacked and scratched from head to toe.

She had the urge to kick the cat as hard as possible.

Keri's phone buzzed in her purse. She grabbed it and read the text from her mom.

Come home ASAP! You father and I have some exciting news to tell you!!!

Keri's eyes rolled, making Rebecca question her actions.

"My mom wants me home," Keri mumbled. "I'll text you later."

"Bye!" Rebecca had given Keri a small hug before walking her towards the door.

What they hell do they want? Keri thought to herself. She raised the volume to her radio and pressed on the gas. This better be good.
