Bella Hanley had always felt like a misfit, she's never been able too fit in anywhere. She despised her appearance, she felt 'ugly' which is ironic given that her name translated to 'Beautiful' from the Italian language.

Her long golden hair always lay in perfect waves, reaching half way down her back, making her curves dominant. Her eyes were as deep blue as the sea and her lips blood red and full.

Bella had that model worthy beauty to her, it was obvious to everyone but her.

She had been diagnosed with server Bipolar disorder ever since she could recall, causing her low self esteem.

Her disorder forced her to go from one exstream to the next, sometimes in a matter of seconds. She was always scared to go out, ashamed of her condition, of what she had became. She had never realised that it really was not her fault, her condition was beyond her control, she never understood that.

It was her farther's fault really, why she thought her condition was her fault. He disowned her as soon as he found out; telling her that she was a "disappointment to the family". She was only seven years old at the time, how was she meant to know what was going on? She was at that age where everything her parents thought mattered, how could he be so cruel?

Since that day she has always stayed out of the limelight, not wanting to ruin her family's reputation. Her farther owned a huge company, she wasn't even sure what the company did, she was too afraid to even ask.

The only person she ever truly trusted was her overly protective brother Damen, Damen hated his farther for his cruel words, he was the only one who understood Bella, he made sure she was always safe.

Damen was basically like Bella's farther. He cared much more than their biological farther did. He fed her and made sure she had everything that was essential and bought her anything she asked for.

If it wasn't for disorder she would have had the perfect life, she was a ghost of herself. She didn't even dare to think of how her life could have been if she was happy.

The light had been lost from her eyes for a long time now, she never realised that she deserved better. She thought causing scars to herself was normal, she couldn't stop, it never occurred too her that it wasn't natural, she had convinced herself that she deserved the pain.

The doctors knew that she could not go on like this forever, they were lost with what to do, they had never seen a case quite like Bella's. She was only a child, they had no understanding of what was happening to her. She felt like no one wanted her so she had no chance at a happy childhood, how could she be happy when her farther no longer loved her? She felt like a let down, a failure.
