TWO YEARS LATER.
"hey, are you ready?" chandler leaned against the door of the room where kaylani was getting ready, his smile only growing as he took in the bride. they'd come so far in the time they'd known each other; he couldn't wrap his head around the thought that she was getting married, especially so young. but he had also seen the way she looked at rowan- if there was anyone who could make it work, it was those two.
"i don't know, chan. no idea. i wanna marry her, but-"
"breathe, kay. you're going to be married soon, and you're perfect for each other. just breathe. you look beautiful. always have." he stepped further into the room, catching her eye in the mirror. she smiled brightly at him, turning to face him.
they met in the middle of the room, and she reached out to hold his hands. he chuckled and laced their fingers, a habit they had never been able to shake.
"i love you, chandler. thank you for being here for me forever, and supplying my memes, and for not caring that people ship us together. you're perfect. i can't wait for you to find someone." kaylani smiled fondly at him, and he chuckled.
"i might have already, kay. but that's not the point right now. i love you, too. now c'mon, you have a wedding to go to."
--
across the building, rowan and sabrina were fixing her hair. rowan smiled softly as her friend went on about someone who she had just met. rowan was proud of her friend, and she was exceptionally happy.
"hey, it's time to go," corey said as he entered the room, smiling widely. "row, wow." the brunette smiled, and she took both their hands.
"you guys have been my best friends forever. i'm so glad that i've gotten this experience with you. thank you for being here for me always. i love you both."
"we're always yours, row. never gonna lie about that." corey squeezed her hand, making the two girls smile. "let's go get you hitched."
--
"we're gathered here today..." the words faded out for the both of the girls as they looked at each other with such love that the crowd was shaken. they were so in love that the onlookers didn't know what to do. they could only watch.
before they knew it, the ceremony was over. and they were together. after three years of ups and downs, they were together. permanently. it felt real, all of a sudden. because it was. it was very, very real.
"hey," rowan whispered as they found their way to the reception, "i love you."
"i love you too, dork. i have for a really long time."
the two of them shared a long smile, one that made the world stop for the both of them. it all seemed so perfect. and it was perfect. they were together, forever. and no one, nothing, could stop it. it was just rowan and kaylani for the rest of time, for the rest of forever. and it didn't matter who or what tried to get in between them. they would be them in the media, at home as they danced under the star lights that they were going to get put in their home. they were together forever and ever, and as they had their first dance, they remembered just that. forever.
nothing could ever make them blue, ever again. and man, were they glad about that.
