turns out donghan really got his wounds infected. the doctor treated him immediately and thank god he was okay. but he still had to stay in this hospital to be kept under observation.

"if this got delayed any longer, consequences could've been dire!" i scolded him as i sat down on the chair beside the hospital bed.

"okay sorry, i didn't know it'll be that serious," he sighs.

"do you want me to inform your parents or something?" i ask him.

he turned to look at me, before sighing again.

"it's okay, i'll let them know later," he says, and i nodded.

i awkwardly looked around the hospital ward, there were about 6 other beds in the ward, but they were widely spaced apart.

"you should go back now, it's late, thanks for sending me here," donghan finally speaks after a short silence.

i looked at my watch, it was already pretty late.

"will you be okay here?" i ask.

donghan chuckles.

"what could happen to me in the hosiptal? don't worry," he reassures me.

"nevermind, i'll just... stay here for a bit," i told him. afterall, it was because of me that donghan got injured. i felt guilty leaving him all alone here in the hospital.

"it's okay, remember we've a test tomorrow? you should go back and rest," he said. i totally forgot about the test that i was supposed to be studying for right now.

i ran a hand through my hair, sighing.

"okay, i'll head back now then. i'll probably come by tomorrow to see my brother and you, rest well yeah?" i said to donghan, since my brother was staying in the same hospital donghan was in.

donghan smiled slightly.

how could he still look so adorable in this state?

"bye," i quickly said, grabbing my phone and wallet from the small table beside the the bed.

"bye."
