About an hour flies by before I check my phone. While we were studying, Kellin managed to find ways to make me laugh.

"What time are you leaving?" He asks as I put my phone face down on the table. Flipping through a few pages of the text book, I shrug and reply with "Soon." I can see that his eyes aren't looking at the text book and they're focused on me which causes me to shift a little.

Butterflies rush around my stomach and I gently rub my neck. I shift my weight onto my other leg and tuck my hair behind my ear, giving myself a mini pep talk in the process. Keep cool. Don't act weird. "Oh um, would you like to sit down?" Kellin asks, pulling a chair out. "Yeah, my legs are kinda killing me." I laugh a little and sit next to him, the butterflies flutter again when our legs touch. Kellin manages to make me laugh a couple of times and our study session turns into a regular conversation.

Kellin finishes laughing and asks shyly, "Do you want a beer or soda? I even have orange juice." The urge to smile snags at my face as I reply with, "Um what kind of soda do you have?" I stand up and start walking to the fridge. "I have Coke, Dr. Pepper..." He notices me standing behind him and he lets me look at all of the drink. "I'll have a Cream soda." Kellin reaches his hand around the 12 Cokes stacked in his fridge and grabs one can of Mountain Dew and one Cream soda. I head to the table and hear a little chime sound behind me. I've learned quite a bit about Kellin. His favorite sport is football. Favorite color? Lime green. Favorite animal? Alpaca. I've never known someone whose favorite animal was an alpaca. I feel bad for laughing at him but it was cute when he turned red and laughed with me.

"Do you work tonight?" He asks, leaning against the smooth granite counter. Slowly pulling the top of the soda open, I shake my head and take a small sip. His black hair falls in front of his breathtakingly beautiful eyes as he looks down at his phone. "Dammit!" He rushes by, turning the television on and punches random numbers into the remote. He puts on the football game and watches it for a minute. I stand awkwardly next to the table and chug half of my soda, reaching for my backpack in the process. Kellin looks back which causes me to freeze. "Wanna sit over here?" I open my mouth to speak but he cuts me off by stating, "It's nice to be around someone, and I really enjoy your company." I could see a hint of rose tinting his cheeks.

He flashes a small smile and I return one. I rack my brain for an excuse but my thoughts are all jumbled. I take a minute to answer, but I finally reply with a shrug and a simple "sure". I walk to the couch and sit on the plush, comfy, soft cushion. I lean back and feel my body melt into the couch. This is way comfier than my bed; I could fall asleep right here. I watch guys run around on tv, chasing a ball and tackling people on the other team. I've never been a big football fan- I've never really understood how it works- so I zone out. My eyes slip shut and I decide to nap on the couch that feels like a giant cloud.

Kellins POV

"Dammit." I mutter and lean back on the couch, resting my arm behind. I move around a little, until I find the right spot. I should've bought a more comfortable couch, this one feels cheap. I feel a small movement against my thigh, and that reminded me Katherine was still here. I turn to start a conversation, but stop when I see she's asleep. She isn't a bad looking girl at all. Her eyes are beautiful and full of life, she has a nice body and she has an unique personality. She's a little standoff-ish, but I plan on changing that. If anything, Katherine is actually quite attractive. I carefully pick her up with my arms under her legs and behind her back, carrying her to the guest bedroom. I glance down at her and for some reason, I can't take my eyes away from her. She looks so peaceful, like nothing is bothering her anymore. When she's awake, you can tell that something is going on with her. She's a mystery and for some odd reason, I want to figure her out. Gently laying her on the bed so I don't wake her, I pull the covers up and quietly leave the room.

She is different than the other girls; she hasn't thrown herself at me and honestly, that's kind of shocking. Around college, I have a reputation. People know that I can get any girl I want, and the fact that I can't easily get Katherine makes me want her even more.

Katherine's POV

I pull the satin sheets and fluffy comforter up, enjoying the warmth and protection they give off. A yawn escapes my lips and I sit up. It takes a few minutes for my eyes to adjust to the darkness, but when they do I'm surrounded by unfamiliar things. Where am I? I've never been in this room before, so I do what any normal person would do. Panic. Throwing the sheets off of me, I get up and walk to the door. Frantically opening it, I realize its a closet. I move to another door and walk out into a hall. I look over and now I remember where I am.

Kellin is sitting on the couch, already looking at me. I rub my arm and take a few steps closer. "What time is it?" He looks at his phone and says, "10:48." Walking over to my bag, I mutter, "Holy nickels." Digging my keys out of my bag, I look over at Kellins television to see what he's watching. A small group of people are walking down a deserted street with weapons, scanning the area for any possible threats. They eventually walk down a dirt road until they end up at a nice, white house. I've only seen one episode of The Walking Dead so I don't remember any of the characters' names. I think one of their names is Carl?

Throwing one strap of my bag over my shoulder, I look around to make sure I have everything and see $20 and $10 laying on the table. "That's for you." Kellin says, sitting on the back board of his couch. I slowly grab the money, "Thanks. I should probably head out." I hold the key ring and spin my keys around my pointer finger as I walk towards the door. I hear Kellin shift before saying, "It's late, you could always stay in the guest room." I definitely could, that bed felt so nice. I turn towards him and give him a shy smile. "Not tonight. I have to go buy some groceries anyways." He nods and returns the smile. I walk out of his apartment and see two ladies eyeing me. One is whispering to the other and they give me dirty looks. Ignoring them, I walk past and leave the building.

I pull up into the Walmart parking lot and walk inside the store. Almost no one is here besides a few people and the workers. I buy quite a bit of food with the money Kellin gave me for tutoring him. I end up leaving Walmart sometime after 12 with 4 bags of groceries.

I have to set my groceries down so I can unlock my apartment door. When I'm finally in, I lean against my door and breathe. Today was interesting. I drag the grocery bags to the kitchen and put the food away. I microwave one of my Hungry-Man dinners and sit on my raggedy couch. Flipping through the channels, I stop on a random one and take a small sip of water. After I finish my not-so-healthy dinner, I watch TV for a while before heading to my room. Slipping out of my clothes, I change into a different shirt and crawl into bed. Once I lay on my pillow, I pass out.

I wake up to the little amount of sunlight shining in my room. I head to the bathroom to take a refreshing shower. I just stand there letting the warm water run down my body. After I get finished washing up, I step out and quickly wrap a towel around my body. After I brush my teeth and get dressed, I throw some food in the microwave and leave to get the mail. Shuffling through my mail, I glance up and see something on my door from a distance. I rush to my door and pull the piece of paper off. I reread the paper until it fully processes in my mind. I hurriedly run down the stairs and barge into my landlords office.

"You're kicking me out?" I question with fear evident in my voice. My landlord slowly gets up from his desk and calmly replies, "You haven't paid rent for two months." Slamming the paper onto his desk, I exclaim, "I'm trying Tony!" He sighs, "I'm sorry, but the apartments aren't doing too well and I need paying people." I look down at the paper and see I have to leave by 5:00 pm. Frustrated, I storm out of his office and as I head back to my apartment, tears pool in my eyes which causes my vision to blur.

I struggle to get my key into the bolt due to the shakiness of my hands. I find the biggest bag I own and start shoving clothes and necessities in it. I don't have anywhere to go.

What the hell am I going to do?
