Me and Elena are arranging flowers in a vase at a table.
Caroline walks over to me.

Look, I'm your best friend and I would never pick sides, but are you sure that this is what you want? Because Stefan is your soul mate. "Caroline told me.

Me and Elena look up at her.

Sorry. Picking sides. "She said sighing.
It's not like she doesn't love Stefan anymore, but she can't deny that ever since she turned, her feelings for Damon have become more intense. "Elena said.

I looked at her surprised.
And so did Caroline.

She smiled.

Yeah, I know. Stefan filled me in on all the gory Damon details. "Caroline said.

He did? "I asked surprised.

I look at her for a second.

Is he okay? "I asked her worriedly.
No, he's heartbroken. "She responded.
Well, what was I supposed to do? Lie to him? "I asked her.

No, but you weren't supposed to let Damon weasel his way into your confused newbie vampire heart. "She said annoyed.

I feel like I already had these feelings Caroline but that's also exactly what I am. Confused. I need to figure out what these feelings actually mean. "I told her.

Professor Shane walks down the steps and over to Me, Caroline and Elena.

Excuse me, I'm a little lost. I'm here to interview contestants. "He said.
You're Professor Shane. "I said.

Me, Elena and Caroline look at each other.

Yeah, that's right. Professor by day; pageant judge by other day. In spite of being absurdly unqualified, I'm apparently awarding a scholarship. "He said.

Uh, inside by the parlor. "Caroline told him.

Professor Shane points up towards the house.

Right in here? "He asked.
Mhm. Professor. "Caroline told him.
All right, I'll just follow the scent of hairspray and world domination. "He said.

Caroline laughs quietly.
Professor Shane walks away.
Me and Elena turn and look at Caroline.

He's the one who told Damon how to break the hunter's curse. "I told her.
He's also the one that has Bonnie so obsessed with practicing magic that she bailed on pageant prep. "Caroline said.

And now he's judging Miss Mystic Falls? "Elena questioned.

Caroline raises her eyebrows.

Jack of all trades or kind of creepy? "I asked suspiciously.

Lockwood Mansion

April is preparing for the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant.
She holds up two dresses, one red and one blue, for Me, Caroline and Elena to pick from.

Blue. "Caroline/Elena said.
Really? The blue seems a little safe. "April said.
I like the red. "I told her.

She smiled.
Safe is good when it comes to the judges. "Elena told her.

She's right. Gracie Lockwood had a three-foot slit her year and practically got laughed off the court. "Caroline said.

I rolled my eyes.

Elena smiles and laughs.
Damon walks into the room.

She got my vote. "He said.

I look at him and stop breathing for a second.
Elena looks at him and starts to blush a little.
I look at her strangely.
