DANIEL WOKE up with a non-broken heart this time round. he woke up, feeling happy — for once. why? was it because the love of his life finally talked to him? or was it the fact that she also missed him.
either way, daniel felt different when he woke up. he stared at the ceiling blankly, thinking of last night's late conversation. he turned to the side and was greeted by his best friend, kim jaehwan, sleeping right next to him, with his cat, rooney, on top of him.
daniel's eyes widened, he lets out a loud shriek, shocked. jaehwan also lets out a shriek, and wakes up. the loud shriek turns to another loud shriek when daniel found the rest of his best friends slowly waking up from the floor.
"who the fuck yelled? i was trying to sleep!" sungwoon groaned, rubbing his eyes. daniel looked around his apartment. "why the hell are all of you here? what happened last night?" daniel bombarded his friends with questions that they cant answer to because it was too early in the morning to think.
"uh — i think seongwoo hyung got you wasted last night because you were so happy that she finally answered your call," guanlin answered on behalf of everyone.
seongwoo groaned, he woke up from his sleep, rubbing his eyes, he slurred — "woah, why are there many guys here? did we all— fuck?" softly gasping at the word fuck.
daehwi cringed at seongwoo's comment, "no, you only made daniel drink," he soon explained what happened last night. jaehwan groaned, then his cheeks went pink after seeing rooney on his stomach.
daniel tried to ignore seongwoo's stupidity and he immediately paid attention to jaehwan and rooney. daniel lets out a soft chuckle, "so is this the cat that you've been wanting to see? or did you want to see peter?" daniel questioned, tiredly.
jaehwan examined the cat for awhile before shaking his head. "i wanted to see yuki," he exclaimed. all ten boys knew who yuki was. but some of them didnt know the backstory of yuki and how daniel got her.
"o—oh shit did someone mention yuki?" seongwoo slurred, he stared at the ceiling. daniel tried not to let another memory flash through his head but it didnt work.
"gosh, i can't believe youre making me do this," the girl lets out a chuckle as she held yuki in her hands. daniel grinned at her, "i can't believe we're like parents adopting a child," he commented.
"dont worry, you'll be a great mom, and i'll be a great dad, taking care of the both of you," he giggled, kissing the kitten.
daniel snapped out of is reverie. he breathed in, and breathed out. another memory, another day. "yuki? its — its uh somewhere in the balcony, most probably playing with peter," daniel nervously laughed.
