If you dont let yourself experience emotions and you just push them down, your feelings will build up and you'll be miserable.

They do it anyway.
"Animals like me don't talk anyway."
They aren't allowed to actually express emotions or opinions, they think that since no one else seems to be as irritated as they are there must be something wrong with them.

They try to move on and continue a friendship/relationship, but they're always thinking about a time when they may have hurt the other. They can't forgive themselves.

There is simply nothing worse than knowing how it ends."
They watch the days go by at a what seems like a quicker pace, hours seem to get shorter. 'Mandatory' tasks which they are made to do are mundane and boring, they wish they could break away from knowing exactly how boring the next day will be.

The only enjoyable part of their day is interacting with friends and going on the internet, they know that they'll do almost anything for these friends.
"Don't wanna call it a second chance
But when I came back, it was more of a relapse."
As they make more friends they'll see some leave and come back, they come back a bit less happy. They're still fun but, it's different. After some time it goes back to normal though.
"Anticipation's on the other line
An obsession called while you were out."
They wish to share everything with their friends but, even though it's in human nature, this is frowned apon and they fear of being called 'attention seeking'.

Same as before, but with the lingering fear that they'll lose their friends.
"I'll sleep in the hive,
I guess all the buzzing got to me.
While I'm still alive,"
They just wish they could take a ten year nap, everyone else seems to move so much more quickly than them.

And I'm conducting you."
They have all their fun at night, they sing and dance and talk to friends.

They finally get a break, and some help from friends.

They turn their pain into an anthem, they use it to help themselves. They can start to be happier
