My Girlfriend

We kissed! I couldn't believe it, my best friend, the girl I had always been in love with!
My beloved Ely and I stayed like that for a while, the happiest while of my life, then, we looked at each other, and we both say at the same time: "I love you".

We laughed, because we already knew deep in our hearts, I liked Ely and she liked me back. After that, we held hands and walked back into her house.
For our surprise her little sister was waiting for us in the door leading to the garden, she brought us some cupcakes she made.

Then, she made a comment that left us astonished: "Geez about time!". She saw me kissing her sister and that was her response, the little scamp knew all this time!
Makes sense, since she lives with Ely is obvious she knows her big sister very well.
After the comment Ely and I blushed.

Ely offered me to stay for lunch, and I obviously accepted.
During the meal we didn't mentioned the kiss, we just caught up with everything that happened in my absence.

When her little sister finished her food, she said " Thanks for the food!, I leave you two lovebirds alone" and she let out a giggle. "Aly!" Elaine yelled at her sister while blushing.
I just smiled, I was relieved her sister didn't had any problem at all with us loving each other.

Ely and I were at the table, we kept eating, and looking at each other.
We were nervous all of a sudden, my hands were sweating, this was the time to officially seal the deal, time to make Ely the question I waited so long to ask: "Would you be my girlfriend?".

We finished and went to wash the dishes, I broke up the ice with a silly joke, and Ely smiled, then we at the same time said "I have something to ask you!".
We stared for a moment and laughed, "You go first!" I told her, she said: "No, you first!" and we kept repeating the same between laughs.
I armed myself with courage, held her hands and said: "Alright you won, I go first".

Elaine's face got red like a tomato and so did mine. "gulp" I was nervous, but I had to ask her! " Elaine Harmony!" I said out loud "would you like to be my girlfriend!?" I just shouted nervously.

Her face changed, she was happy, she let someone tears out and replied: "Yes, Sophia Sigma" with a big smile, "I have been in love with you since I met you" she added.
My face, my heart and soul filled with joy, I also let happy tears out. "Ely!" I said with a big smile as well, she also said my name, and we kissed again.

It was official, my best friend was also my girlfriend now.
