Salvage

I woke up with the sun in my face, I opened my eyes and turned to hug my girlfriend.
"What time is it?" Ely asked.
I turned to the clock in the wall, it said 11:05.
We were in the large couch inside what it was the mayor's office.

It was a nice day, although I can't tell if it was because the weather and the chirping of the birds or because I woke up cuddling with the woman I loved.
We nuzzled each other's noses and got up.

We started cleaning, from the window, the desolated city was visible. There was not a soul in the street, maybe Delta told the cyndicate grunts to retreat. Fortunately they still thought that Delta was loyal to them.

I noticed Ely was lost in thought.
"Ely, my love, are you feeling okay?" I got close to her and asked. "I'm fine Sophie, I was just wondering where my sister is, what is she doing, is she eating well?" She said. I comforted her with a hug. "Don't worry, you know how obstinate she is, and how much brave and smart she is, I'm sure she is okay. And about food, she definitely will be eating cookies day and night!" We laughed at my last commentary and kissed.

We cleaned the whole city hall. It's like as if we recovered a part of the city. We found some food laying around, apparently the cyndicate monsters ate a lot through the day. There were cans and bags with junk food and some canned meals.
The hall had a small lounge where the employees had lunch. So we were able to cook.

The rest of the day was spent on us trying to decide what was next, and when the sun got down, we cuddled again in the couch.
