Three months have passed, today, it's our monthiversary, I had to give my girlfriend the best present of them all, so I went to the town square where you can find some shopping stands where they sell the most adorable goodies.
While I was passing an appliances store I noticed a news report. It was the police department, warning people about some shady characters.
Since there are a lot of species living on earth, it wasn't unusual to hear about menacing looking creatures, I myself was an alien.
I didn't put too much attention on what I heard, I continued to look for the perfect gift for the perfect girl.
I managed to get Ely a cute pair of butterfly earrings, I went to her house.
Over the course of this months, things changed, they weren't bad changes though, everything couldn't be better, Ely and I were happy and her little sister was like a sister to me too.
I moved to live with Ely, her parents passed away when she was just 10 and her sister was just born.
Elaine was a very strong woman, she took care of her sister all by herself, that's something I always admired of her, I was glad to be there and lend my Ely a hand.
With time her little sister and I became inseparable, to me, she was like my own sibling.
Ely and I kept having fun as we always had, nothing really changed from when we were besties, except of course, I could now kiss her lips all I wanted.
The rest of the year was as happy as it always has been when I am with my girlfriend.
However, something was about to change, a storm was coming and all I knew was that Ely and I will face it together.
